So I haven't even read the article yet. Just heard it on the news.
From what I heard, and without reading it yet...how the hell does something like this happen. You can't HEAR a fucking train coming?

snipped:
DALLAS — A freight train slammed into a parade float carrying wounded veterans on Thursday, killing four people and injuring 17 others as the float tried to get through a West Texas railroad crossing on its way to an honorary banquet, authorities said.
Jesus Christ. Heroes that survived wars killed by a local train during their honorary parade? Sad and cruel twist of fate.
Keep us posted, FAHQTOO. There aren't too many details in the article and not looking to point fingers, but I gotta think that the parade organizers are at fault based only on what we know now. Trains are carefully scheduled and run like clockwork, for the most part. Not easy for a freight train to stop short. Those floats shouldn't have been anywhere near those tracks at that time.
RIP to those taken on their Veteran's Day celebration...

I have seen this happen before. Dumbass driving the truck pulling the trailer or float drives onto the tracks without making sure he can get all the way across without having to stop, the truck gets clear but the trailer takes a train in the ass.
Stupid fuckers
RIP to the heros that died

Well, not until you posted your recap of events.
You have a wicked sense of humor, Orville.

Maggot lost points with me with his insensitive post.
You people chuckling along and kissing his backside have issues too.
Really, you're going to find a way to make light of wounded vets getting crushed by a train?

You forget where you are. Do you seriously think that those of us who snickered after reading his post would actually conduct ourselves like that in the real world. Get a grip, MS. You don't have any problem with people leaving their real life rules at the door when you get to see pix of tits so STFU.

People here give you a hell of a lot of rope daily to joke and laugh about things that might seem insensitive to some women and make some of us uncomfortable. I've grown to like you and your posts anyway and enjoy playing along with you now because I think you're sensitive and smart, accept who you are, and believe that different senses of humor and tolerance levels make for a much more interesting mock and mix.
So, I hope your post here was just a flat mock attempt. If you were indeed serious and I've lost some points with you for laughing at a very funny post by a poster who is fuckin' solid as rock in terms of integrity, I'll try to process living with your scorn later.
Right now, I'm busy seeing how long I can keep my ankles pinned behind my ears.

You always say what I want to say in a much more diplomatic way.
Sometimes I aspire to be better in that regard.

Sometimes I wanna tell people to STFU, but then I worry that they really would. Then what? Yeah, I'm a sap.
I think MS was serious; having one of his emotional reactionary days. I do appreciate his respect for Veterans and their service to our country.
He better not stay away and pout or I'll give him something to cry about.

I was just reacting to the title of the thread and trying to figure out how this shit happens. I'm a vet and I can visualize that happening. The guy driving the float should be shot.

Very tragic accident. I don't think anyone can wrap our heads around it really. It is really really fucked up.
