If you had read the books first I'm sure you would have never liked the show, shows never seem capable of doing the literature justice.
Lithgow is always really good.
Normally, seeing shows after reading a great book that they're based upon is disappointing. But, a few of my favorite movies are based on great books:
To Kill A Mockingbird
Shawshank Redemption
The Exorcist
Drugstore Cowboy
Those movies were really loyal to the feel of the books.
(Thought about making a list of all of the shit movies based on great books and then wondered "why?"; a little on the buzzed side here.)

No, I was gonna make two separate lists before realizing one was probably one too many.
No plans tonight; just working around the house and taking lots of breaks. Buzzed, but no alcohol on the agenda today.
Walking the city tomorrow with a friend. It's gay pride weekend here, so driving is a nightmare and walking's more fun anyway.
You staying mellow this weekend?

my gf comes over from germany for a week on the 14th so can't wait for that, moving there in august, so hype about that, just biding my time saving my cash and trying to remain focused and positive.

U.S. politics are really weird. That woman in Texas had a catheter put in so she could accomplish her 13 hour filibuster on abortion legislation.
Other people have used buckets and stuff. I should have known about that before now but I didn't.

I read that the other day & just kinda shook my head.
In the seventh hour she put on a back brace but another senator called a "point of order" on it and she had to remove it.

I don't like lobster, oysters or caviar on crappy triangles of toasted bread. Yuk. When I asked for a burnt hotdog she looked at me like I had snakes coming out of my head. That made me feel pressured to be even more uncouth.

Eating whole lobster is great, I got one beach fishing once, really amazing variations of blue.

Do you eat the green or red parts? Supposedly they are a delicacy. I think it's gross.
Now I have a craving for lobster with drawn butter. And a nice medium rare steak.
