Which won't happen because when it comes to actually getting off your arse and doing something most people realise that they really don't feel as strongly about the issue as they thought they did. The only people who are prepared to go out and march are those in the political extremes of both right and the left. Mr and mrs piggy in the middle have got bills to pay when I see marches and protestors sitting in I always think “did they give you time off work to do that?”. Like all those pro Morsi ragheads in Egypt? They've been sitting there for weeks how are they raising enough shekels to pay for falafel and homous sitting there all this time?

Paula Deen - Comeback Underway?
So, the judge in the discrimination case against Deen dismissed the case, with prejudice, yesterday. The parties reached an undisclosed settlement and the case can not be refiled later. And, voila!, the plaintiff in the case is now singing a very different tune. Must have been a nice settlement. Here's Lisa Jackson's statement: "I assumed that all of my complaints about the workplace environment were getting to Paula Deen, but I learned during this matter that this was not the case. The Paula Deen I have known for more than eight years, is a woman of compassion and kindness and will never tolerate discrimination or racism of any kind toward anyone. I now know that the workplace environment issues that I raised are being reviewed and will in the future no longer be at issue. I wish Ms. Deen and her family all the best in all of their future endeavors and I am very pleased that this matter has been now been resolved and can now be put behind us." Looks like Paula's new legal advisers and PR representatives are smarter than her former team.

Yeah, they should but they won't be until they start losing money because of their poor business decision. If they were to change their tune I would hope Paula has enough sense to tell them to go fuck themselves. She doesn't need them.

Paula Deen is making her comeback bid, starting with Texas.
She appeared at a sold out Houston cooking show (with her sons) at a cost of $75 - $100 per ticket, and got a long standing ovation. Deen told the audience that the past few months have been difficult, but it's been a growth experience and she's learned a lot about her self and her business. She looks like she's lost a lot of weight in the process. "These are tears of joy, y'all," she said, reports the Houston Chronicle. The site says about 1,500 fans showed up. "I've said all along that the one place I'd want to make my first step back out is Texas. Y'all's hearts are as big as your state." Story: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/art...ntion.html

His trial was set to start today, but he changed his plea to "guilty" yesterday afternoon. More details of what happened on the flight are detailed in the court filings: At the beginning of the flight, Hundley pressed the call button and asked a flight attendant about the airline's policy regarding "lap children," prosecutors said in a filing. The way he asked the question made it clear he was unhappy about the child's presence, prosecutors wrote. As the plane descended into Atlanta, the child started crying. Hundley leaned over to Bennett and "told her to shut that (N-word) baby up," according to a sworn statement from an FBI agent who investigated the incident. Bennett asked Hundley what he had said, and he leaned in with his face up next to hers and said it again, prosecutors said in a filing. Hundley then slapped the child in the face, leaving a scratch below his right eye, the FBI agent's statement says. Background and repercussions: Hundley's only son was in a coma in Atlanta following an insulin overdose that was the result of a suspected suicide attempt, and Hundley was flying there to meet his ex-wife so they could decide whether to take their son off life support, according to court filings. Hundley was president of an aerospace company in Hayden, Idaho, but lost his job following enormous media coverage of the in-flight incident, his defense lawyers said in a court filing. Hundley has since moved to Leland, N.C., according to a court filing. Hundley's son died just after he arrived in Atlanta off that flight, where he was described as reeking of booze and belligerent by the baby's mother (she says the little boy is now traumatized and apprehensive of strangers). Prosecutors have requested a six-month sentence for Hundley. Sentencing is scheduled for January.

There have been moments where I have wanted to tell people to shut their kids up but I never would have dared touch them in an offensive manner.

Good luck trying to make a two year old shut up. The little fuckers whine and cry, nothing you can do about it. You can stand up while holding them and walk around, but then the stewardess tells you to sit down which makes them cry even more. Two year olds have the same right to fly as you, if you don't like it than buy your own personal jet.

When people travel in a confined space they better have some understanding or it's going to be a long ass trip. Wear headphones or something.

I've flown six times with the baby, all the times she was pretty good except when the stewardess said to put the tray up. She didn't like having to put the tray up and stop coloring so I put it back down to shut her up. Didn't that bitch come back around and tell me to put it up again. Jesus Christ, you see I have a screaming two year old here, could you cut me some slack with the stupid fucking tray.
