Have you ever done something that would qualify as that when breaking up with someone?

I broke up with my boyfriend over the phone when he was in CA I music school when I met someone else.

That's actually the right thing to do. If you've met someone else, breaking up quickly with your current partner* is a kind gesture (even over the phone) as not doing so and beginning another relationship is a bit cruel. *This applies to dating. Not married or engaged.

And I'll do it again if I have to. I would have never thought of that in a million years until someone jokingly said to put itching powder in his underwear...the k-wool is worse. His daughter almost pissed herself laughing when I told her. I read in cosmo where this chick took potting soil and grass seed and seeded the carpet when she left. He was out of the country so it had time to grow when he was gone...I like that one too, but would never do something like that...I don't think I would anyway, but ya never know.

I have broken up via text, but I have a good excuse......his english wasn't very good and he needed the google translator to translate it.

Then follow it up with any and all perve publications you can think of. I'm talking catalogues! Lots and lots of catalogues! White supremacist shit, too. It's so much better when you use his laptop to request the info. Then there's the IRS . . .

When the chef and I broke up, I was kind of messy. I told him straight out things weren't working out, but he refused to listen, he didn't want to break up. He refused to leave and I had to have him physically removed from my home. Had he just been an adult about it, things wouldn't have gotten so messy. He ended up leaving and two weeks later while I was out of town, he broke in and stole all my living room furniture and my TV. I called the cops but they said b/c he used to live here and I didn't go through the proper channels (meaning having him legally evicted) to remove him, all the stuff in my home was considered community property and I'd have to take him to court. Fuck that. I'm working 60 hours a week. I don't have time to fuck around with court and shit.
Just shut up. Just shut the fuck up right now.

I thought he took it cuz he paid for it? Still shitty and he should have been arrested for breaking in at the very least. He also could have discussed getting his things at an agreed upon time. He was a douche anyway. His "story" about going to jail for having a beer at home while on probation for a first offense DWI should have been the first clue.

I loaned him some money and we agreed he was leaving the furniture in lieu of paying it back. The TV I bought myself. He had all of his things removed, and honestly I think his Dad talked him into breaking in here and taking the living room stuff. He had been looking for furniture for his own house last I knew.
