I hope I've finally reached a level of disgust that I can't come back from. I just listened to someone gush about her new briefcase, it's made out of calfskin. I hope I've finally been so disgusted that I don't ever again want anything leather. I listened politely without snorting but all I could think of was a darling baby cow and how damn cute they are. I felt my lip curling.
Is there much leather in your life?

3 leather coats...2 pairs of chaps...2 pairs of leather boots...1 leather vest...2 pairs of gloves...9 or 10 leather belts.
One of my coats is lambskin...I'm going to hell.

I hope the animals aren't just killed for their coats. I'd like to think that they're killed for food and the leather purse I carry is just a by-product of that.
If I'm wrong, don't tell me, thanks.

Guess I'm screwed too. My whole lounge suite is leather. Two seater, three seater, three seater with chaise and two recliners...
Moo!

I still wear my leather biking gear I bought 17 or 18 years, but that's about it. I have no prob whatsoever with inheriting leather garments or my parents' kick-ass leather couch I've longed to have ever since they bought it, but I don't see any reason to buy new leather stuff when there are so many alternative materials I can choose of... well, except for boots every 6 or seven years. Haven't found any material yet that can hold up against leather to protect my feet and keep them warm.
