BREASTFEEDING LAW
#1

Did you know that there is a law covering this? It allows mothers to breastfeed their children wherever they would like to. Whatever happened to good ol' common sense and using your head in regards to pulling out your tit in a food court.

What about a law for those of us that don't want to see that shit.

Just imagine how much time and money went into passing this law.

It's the sexualization of breasts that have made you have that adverse reaction. Breastfeeding is beautiful and natural. It is feeding an infant that is hungry and needs to be fed. I would have thought a food court would be an appropriate place. Given that the infant is feeding at the same time as the rest of the family.

I, personally, tried to do it in public once but couldn't I was flustering around and mine were too big so I had to go the parents room and do it in private. However, I do admire women who can whip it out and carry on with 'business-as-usual'.

hah like it's a weapon, we will have none of that here.

The thing is, that discriminating against breastfeeding is now seen as an infringement on the mothers and their babies human rights.

Women here had a 'nursing sit in' against this male talk show host who spoke out against breastfeeding.

I was a member of the Australian Breastfeeding Association here when I was nursing. They were well-to-do in most cases educated mothers who wanted the best for their babies. The mothers groups would meet once a week and it was very supportive. They are a powerful lobby group.

Do it in private. It's not sexual but it makes people uncomfortable. Or at least be covered up.

It is here too. It's the law. A mother cannot be forced to stop or told to leave otherwise the person trying to stop it opens himself up to a lawsuit.

I think that it is perfectly acceptable to breastfeed in public, if they cover up with a receiving blanket or something. I breastfed all three of my kids, and yes, there were times that I did it in public. However, there was NOT one time that I just whipped my tit out and fed the kid, without the use of a blanket or sheet.

The baby needs to eat, and not always at the most opportune time. That being said, I don't think that everyone should be forced to watch your booby flopping around to do so.

I have a friend who would whip her boob out and breastfeed, without covering it up. Needless to say, it was a little disturbing.

That's what bothers me. I'm really not so obnoxious that I'm intolerant.

Yeah, what's so difficult about using a blanket or something?

Although even with a blanket, if the kid is old enough to say "nummies, mommy" please take that elsewhere.

Some women buy breast milk from strangers online. That's freaking creepy, stupid and unsafe. That said, RAP could make some money if she wanted. It sells for crazy prices from what I've heard.

I support breastfeeding your child.

However . . .

. . . if the little shit can get a meal during the symphony and I can't bring my "sammich" (glass of wine) into the concert hall it is discriminatory!

Now . . . let's talk civil rights.

I've heard that as well. Totally creepy.

I understand that children who have lost parents or whose parents aren't producing enough may want to source from somewhere, but that's really just too weird. These days formula has all the necessary nutrients.

I guess Wet Nurse is not considered an aspect of the nursing profession?
