What's the jackpot $$?

Its at 320,000,000 now.

Yep when I saw that, I went out and bought 3 "separate" tickets today. Surely one of those has to be the winner.hah

It's also a birthday celebration for my Mum's 85th and her college roomate's 85th, too. Both are breast cancer survivors.

Should be about 40 of us on this trip.

That's fabulous. It's great that your mom and friend are still traveling. Can't put a price on memories like that. Smiley_emoticons_smile

Thats a cool Buffet song, listening to his albums always makes me think of scratch tickets though, you never know when his lyrics will win you over.

Some lucky bastards are celebrating today. Tomorrow, lottery officials will announce more details and whether or not the winning ticket holders have come forward to claim their winnings.

A single ticket sold in New Jersey matched all six numbers in Saturday night's drawing for the $338.3 million Powerball jackpot, lottery officials said. It was the 13th drawing held in the days since a Virginia man won a $217 million jackpot Feb. 6.

Thirteen other tickets worth $1 million each matched all but the final Powerball number on Saturday night. Those tickets were sold in New Jersey and 10 other states. Lottery officials said there was also one Power Play Match 5 winner in Iowa.

The numbers drawn were 17, 29, 31, 52, 53 and Powerball 31. A lump sum payout would be $221 million.

What purchase would be on the top of your list if you'd won the big jackpot, Duchess?

I'm not much of a spender because I just don't have much to play with and there's not too much that I want or need.

BUT, if I had the big winning ticket, I'd do a lot of upgrades to this old house, pay off my mortgage and my mom's mortgage, put my youngest nieces and nephews through college, hire a high level manager, and plan my road trip and international vacations for the next 5 years. At least three months a year on vacation would be perfect.

I don't play the lottery though and don't gamble much at all, so just dreamin' the impossible dream...

I'd buy that POS barn/property I've had my eye on, renovate it/landscape it into an awesome private home, flip it and move on to my next project. My heart races just thinking about it.

The New Jersey grandfather who won the $338 million Powerball lottery last week has now pledged to pay rent for his whole block for a month or two.

A friend of Pedro Quezada, 44, told the New York Daily News: 'He said he’s going to pay the rent for everybody here on this block for at least a month or two months. He’s such a good guy.'

Bodega owner Quezada has become well-known for his generosity in Passaic, New Jersey, where the immigrant moved from the Dominican Republic 26 years ago.

If you take the cash option, after taxes you should net around $180M.

I'd give at least half to charity.

I'd like to be put in a position for someone to hold me to that.
