HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT

You know damn well that Hillary would never choose a transgender for a running mate.

I see a vice President nomination in the future. The winds of progressive change is wafting about the horizon.

That would be a strange twist on the conventional running-mate strategy, being that Caityln Jenner is a life-long Republican and all.

However, still not as strange as John McCain's running-mate selection.

You know, if Caitlyn threw on a stylish pair of specs, I think she and Sarah could almost pass for sisters.

Ugh. Sarah Palin. I almost said she's the worst but then Michele Bachman & Michelle Malkin came to mind. Crazy bitches, all of them.

Sarah Palin amuses me. The Michel(l)es - not so much.

Politics aside, I think Palin's a pretty funny crazy bitch. Sadly though, she's got some drama and challenges on her hands, once more.

You see, Sarah just got booted from Fox News Network. And, Bristol's just discovered that she's pregnant (and unmarried) again. However, it's okay that Bristol's unmarried this time, even though that contradicts momma Sarah's sentiments on values.

You see, this time out, Bristol was engaged when she got knocked up. So, she had intent to marry when she was impregnated. And, it's not Bristol's fault if she didn't know her fiance was married. Or something like that. Sarcastic

Sarah can be hilarious for sure. Back when she said she could see Russia from her house I would get a little shit faced and channel her by saying I can see Maryland from my house. So stupid dumb but it still makes me laugh.

hah

So much for advocating for abstinence before marriage.

And she announced the pregnancy was going to be a "huge disappointment" until now, it's not!!

I know. Talk about hypocrisy.

Bristol made $265,000 as the "Abstinence Ambassador" after she had her first child and swore that she and God would keep her from having sex before marriage again. She made that promise to Oprah even!

And she lectured teens across the country to follow her example, discouraging them from birth control and instead pushing abstinence only.

Anyway, here's Bristol's announcement.

“I wanted you guys to be the first to know that I am pregnant.

Honestly, I’ve been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one.

At the end of the day there’s nothing I can’t do with God by my side, and I know I am fully capable of handling anything that is put in front of me with dignity and grace.

Life moves on no matter what. So no matter how you feel, you get up, get dressed, show up, and never give up.”

I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you.

But please respect Tripp’s and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy.”

It's kind of sad that a 24-year-old woman of means feels ^ that way, or at least professes to feel that way. It's a resounding endorsement for birth control, ironically. Pay attention kids.

(P.s. That statement is gonna be real nice for the kid to read one day.)

Hillary Hits Capitol Hill

“She got several rounds of standing applause,” Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told reporters after she pitched her 2016 campaign agenda to Senate Democrats. “She talked about climate change, about what families need in America today. She talked about how important it was that we make sure that we understand America is more than the urban centers of our country.”

Reid added, that he was “extremely impressed” by her answers to questions senators asked, and noted that she also talked about the nuclear deal President Barack Obama worked out with Iran and five other negotiating partners on Tuesday. Clinton told Democrats that she worked on the (Iran nuclear) deal "a lot" herself, and advised them to wait and find out exactly what is in the agreement before passing judgment.

Reid wouldn’t say if he supports the former secretary of state's presidential bid. Clinton is considered the frontrunner but faces four Democratic challengers in the primary, including Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.). “I’ve chosen not to endorse her right now -- that’s the way it is,” Reid said. “Everyone knows what a fan I am of her and her husband, and I’m sure at the right time I’ll make the right decision.”

Clinton met with House Democrats earlier yesterday and also separately with the Congressional Black Caucus, during which time she discussed issues affecting the African-American community in the U.S.

"Today's policy meeting with former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was a constructive meeting where members of the Congressional Black Caucus discussed a myriad of issues that include persistent poverty, the need for criminal justice reform, transportation and infrastructure, economic growth and opportunity, and access to a quality education,” said Rep. G.K. Butterfield (D-N.C.), who chairs the Congressional Black Caucus.

Clinton also met with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. Members said the former first lady requested to hear about issues facing the Hispanic community. In the meeting, Clinton talked about the economy, immigration reform, health care, the wage gap and the need for an inclusive workforce, according to a readout of the meeting from the caucus.

The Dems are in lockstep mode usually. Not many think for themselves and need guidance from their bosses.

Still, Bernie's got that wry little smirk working in his favor and he's narrowed Hillary's Democratic lead over the last couple of weeks. That lead is still pretty effin' huge, but at least he's moving forward.

I read today that a lot of Democrats are holding off on picking a candidate to support, just in case Biden throws his hat in the ring. Biden holds the second highest favorability ratings in the Democratic field with 67 percent of Democratic voters reportedly viewing him favorably -- that kind of surprised me.

I probably shouldn't be surprised. Joe's got that attractive devil-may-care sparkle in his eyes and those pearly white choppers (or dentures?) going for him after all...

You might be asking why I put this here, well, I'll tell you why, because I'm not putting Bill in Assholes In The News or Annoying Celebrities, that's why. I'll just put him here with Hillary.

Hillary's Albatrosses -- Benghazi and the Private Email Server

I think the perception (justified or not) that Hillary is dishonest and untrustworthy could well keep her out of the White House.

Snip:
Hillary Clinton's campaign said Saturday morning that she will publicly testify before the House Select Committee on Benghazi on Oct. 22. But a committee spokesman later said the former secretary of state's lawyer was demanding limitations on the questioning, casting doubt over whether she'll appear.

Clinton was invited to appear before the committee investigating the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack earlier this week, and the former secretary of state and 2016 presidential candidate accepted that invitation on Friday, campaign spokesman Nick Merrill said.

Merrill said Clinton was "pleased" to receive the invitation to a public hearing. But Jamal Ware, the select committee's communications director, disputed that a date had been set, saying that Clinton's lawyer, David Kendall, was insisting that the scope of the questioning be limited to the Benghazi attack -- and not other subjects, such as Libya and her use of a private email server, as Ware claims Kendall had previously agreed to -- and that the hearing date would not change.

Clinton's email gained renewed focus on Friday after the inspector general for the intelligence community has informed members of Congress that some material Hillary Clinton emailed from her private server contained classified information, but it was not identified that way when they were sent. Because it was not identified, it is unclear whether Clinton realized she was potentially compromising classified information.

I have little doubt that Hillary will get the Democratic nomination. But, I have serious doubt she'll be able to win the presidency unless she publicly answers questions directly and convinces Independents that she's being forthcoming, before the end of this year.
