Without shocking, there would only be predictable. Boring.
Haven't had the budget to change the exterior colors since I bought the house.
I do some pretty bright stuff inside, but prefer less bright color on the large outside surfaces. There's a Victorian a few blocks away that's dark muted olive green with eggplant accents and tan trim. I love that scheme; that's what I would do if money was no object.
