RE: THE LATEST SCHOOL SHOOTING

Just incase someone has never purchased a firearm in the USA I thought I would post a link to the paperwork. This is a forum 4473 that gets filled out when purchasing a firearm. The buyer only fills out section A [the first page] We as dealers/sellers fill out the rest.

RE: THE LATEST SCHOOL SHOOTING

That's quite a form F.U. - and reputable dealers such as yourself using them are to be commended.
However, unfortunately many of the non-law abiding dealers/users have never seen or want to see that form!
Many years ago, when I used to drive down south, I would go through the Carolinas, and Georgia, and see bill boards for small stores that advertised fireworks & "guns" for sale. One year, I stopped in Georgia, and bought a small hand gun. I took out my wallet to get my drivers' licence, and the store owner, (not reputable gun dealer) said oh you don't need that. Just sign your name in that notebook. So I just filled in William Darling, Blockbuster Falls, N. J. (Fake of course)
I'm sure over the years, thousands did the same thing. Anyway,5 months later I sold the gun to a gun collector at work. (again, no formal paperwork) Have not driven down south for many years, so don't really know if things are still like that.

RE: THE LATEST SCHOOL SHOOTING

Thanks cars. We do it by the book. actually we do it better than the book. We also take a photo copy of the persons drivers license [no D.L. no sale] and keep it with this forum. Then we do the call in to the ATF.
Also, The ATF says we only need to keep the records for 20 years [the ATF does not want us to send the records to them unless we close our doors] but we will keep them forever.

The bad part is private sales are not required to do this, nor are these unlicensed dealers like you dealt with.

RE: THE LATEST SCHOOL SHOOTING

Statement and update from the Davis Family:

Claire remains in critical condition. She is stable, but is in a coma.

The first responders got Claire to the right place, at the right time, and the doctors and hospital staff are doing a wonderful job taking care of her. We appreciate your continued good thoughts and prayers, and will provide updates as her condition improves.

We again ask that you respect our wishes for privacy, and refrain from contacting us, our extended family, or Claire's friends and schoolmates, as
we want to ensure that only accurate information about Claire is shared.

Thank you for your continuing thoughts and prayers for Claire.

UPDATE

CLAIRE DAVIS

Haven't seen any updates on Claire's condition, but have seen a huge outpouring of prayer offerings and well-wishes extended to the family by those in and outside of the community.

STATEMENT FROM SHOOTER'S PARENTS

"As parents, we loved our son Karl dearly and we are devastated by what happened Friday. We cannot begin to understand why Karl did what he did. Our thoughts and prayers are with Claire Davis and her family. They, and she, have suffered unimaginably, and we pray for her full recovery."

They also said they were shattered and "offered prayers for the entire Arapahoe High School community, as we know your lives are forever changed by this horrific event."

RE: THE LATEST SCHOOL SHOOTING

MOTIVE & PRIOR DEATH THREATS

Sure sounds to me like the shooter's father, Mark Pierson, has some idea as to what motivated his son. He seems to be trying to blame the librarian/debate coach, IMO (sure hope this isn't another case of a family afflicted with Affluenza).

Mr. Pierson contacted the Denver Post yesterday to talk about his son being disciplined at the high school. Karl Pierson had been disciplined in September for threats against Tracy Murphy, who had benched him over disagreement about the debate team.

"I'm not the guy who is going to have the answers on this (why his son launched the attack)," Mark Pierson told the Denver Post. "Tracy Murphy is the key player."

Mr. Pierson would not not say whether his son had threatened Murphy. He did state that he and his ex-wife, Barbara, had been to several disciplinary hearings this year.

Team co-captain Joe Redmond told the Post and NBC News that his friend of three years "had threatened to kill Mr. Murphy," but he could not say why.

Murphy and school officials have not commented on the feud between the two.

SHOOTER'S PLANS & NEW DETAILS

Investigators say that the shooter had read the Alchemist's Cookbook - this was likely reference for developing the Molotov cocktails he used.

He had writing on his arms - turns out they were Latin and represented the library and four classrooms near the library. Investigators are working to determine if the classrooms contained other persons of target.

"The Die Has Been Cast," was also written on his arm, in Latin.

Just what the fuck is this supposed to mean?

If I understand that correctly this father is attempting to lay the blame for his son's fucked up-ness on the teacher. Are you kidding me!

RE: THE LATEST SCHOOL SHOOTING

^ Yeah, that rubbed me the wrong way and kinda pissed me off too, Duchess.

Dad was well aware of threats his son made against the librarian. He'd gone to several disciplinary hearings at the school regarding the matter, by his own admission. Karl Pierson was HIS son.

Dad's statement makes it sound like he's suggesting that if the librarian had only caved in and appeased the kid (which I suspect, but have no way of knowing, is what the kid's parents did), none of this would have happened.

As if there's anything that the librarian could have done to make a murderous attack on a school understandable or justified. As if the school librarian should somehow understand what was going on inside the kid's mind more than his own dad. As if the librarian has something to answer for.

I wonder if Dad Pierson was the kind who believed his son could do no wrong...

ANOTHER PUBLIC SHOOTING

A suicidal gunman opened fire at a Reno hospital campus Tuesday, killing one person, wounding two others and sending police on a door-to-door search within the facility amid the chaos.
The Nevada Department of Public Safety said the wounded victims were in surgery and one of them is a doctor. The gunman killed himself after the shooting.

Reno Deputy Police Chief Tom Robinson didn't say how many shots were fired or what type of weapon was used, and didn't release the identities of the male shooter or the dead and injured. He said, however, that investigators were confident no one else was involved.

"They are in the middle of a crime scene," Robinson said of the two bodies still on the third floor of a four-story medical building. "We're in the middle of an investigation and we don't want to compromise that by rushing up to identify them."

Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Gail Powell said the wounded doctor is a woman but she had no more information about the shooting that happened at the Center for Advanced Medicine.

RE: THE LATEST SCHOOL SHOOTING

Teachers and people who work in schools seem to get a lot of shit flung at them in America in general.

Why?, I can think loads of other demographic of society worse and more deserving of shit than teachers.

I hear talk about anti-intellectualism in America is that true? I remember Dick and his apparent fear of “learning books”. A lot of parents who seem to think they can give their kids a better education than a trained professional, again why?

RE: ANOTHER PUBLIC SHOOTING

This is a weird one.

Appears authorities still don't know why the unnamed Northern Californian charged into the medical center with a 12-gauge shotgun or what might have motivated him to shoot the doctors and the visitor.

Victims Identified

Dr. Charles G. Gholdoian, 46. Urologist. RIP.

Dr. Christine Lajeunesse. Urologist. In critical condition.

[Image: article-0-1A309C2D00000578-970_306x423.jpg]
Shawntae Spears, 20, accompanying a family member to a doctor's appointment - condition upgraded from critical to serious.

Authorities said they had not been able to establish any connection between the gunman and any of the victims. But Reno Deputy Police Chief Mac Venzo said the shooter's actions indicated his attack was "not a random event."

"The shooter went through the first and second floor, made his way to the third floor of the building, would indicate to me it is not a random event," Venzo told reporters.

"While we piece this thing together, we are trying to figure out what that relationship is, if there is a relationship at all," he said.
Gholdoian was married and had two children.

RE: ANOTHER PUBLIC SHOOTING

The first thing I thought of when I read that the Docs were urologists is maybe the guy had a sexual problem that he either had received treatment for (and it didn't work) or wanted to get treatment for and was denied.

Strange that he targeted this office after walking through 2 other floors.
