After I read the OP story yesterday, clicked on a link to a "related story" about Meow, the 40 pound cat from the New Mexico shelter who hit the news early last year. I was sad to read another story this morning that Meow died last May; he had a cute face. RIP.



If he weren't such a racist, crazy Italian dude could have made a couple of meals outta Meow, no doubt.



In today's "Weird News", meet Meatball. He's at a shelter in Arizona and weighs 36 pounds.

He's too large for the kennels and can't be put up for adoption. I hope one of the staff takes him home.
