RE: IT'S EASTER WEEKEND!

I made spinach, cheese, and ham omlets for my adult family members yesterday and chocolate chip bunny-shaped pancakes for the kids.

We hit the road this morning at 2:00 and were set to meet friends in the city for breakfast at 9:30a.m. Kurt and his wife were supposed to cook for 6 of us at their house. But, those part-time agnostics apparently started celebrating Jesus's resurrection last night and everyone was hungover and/or crashed at the house when we rolled up. So, I had a Bloody Mary there and then got my niece a croissant breakfast at Jack N the Box before dropping her at work.

My niece's boyfriend lives in Canada. He sent her a fancy Easter Basket which was delivered yesterday. Unfortunately, we were out of town and some asshole stole it and left the empty box in front of our garage. I haven't told her yet. I really miss the Bougainvillea covering the front of the house. We never had any problems with deliveries getting swiped before.

This, and also my other charge is not technically my kid so I was allowing for the possibility her dad would want to come collect her for the actual day. I'm not a huge stickler for the real day being a thing, not like I put a whole lot of stock in the whole Jesus thing.

Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.
