Burglary is the intent to break into a building without consent with the intent of committing a crime inside (including theft).
But if I had to take a leap, I would say that they may be calling it Robbery because the victims let them in the dwelling. That they didn't break in, so no Burglary. So they knew them, or why would they let them in?
