They both said they went there for a party a few days before that. That is why they said the cig. butt was there.
I went and looked at our box with the key in it also. There is no way of mistaken that it is where all the wires and backup battery is for our alarm.
Well I read in some report that the murderers thought that the safe contained heroin and $$$. If true, it would be safe to say that it was not the Straub's safe. Heroin? Nah, Johnny may have had a safe. Individuals that make their living dealing in illegal drugs often invest in a safe. Maytee said that there was a safe belonging to the Straubs. And the detectives said that was also a possible motive. Did the detectives get the info from Maytee? Verbosky said that the Straubs did not have a safe. Did Johnny have a safe? Did he take it with him when he was kicked out of the Danberry Street home? Since Maytee lies, we may never know.
