Charles Manson - Up for Parole / DENIED
#23
(04-11-2012, 02:09 PM)Lady Cop Wrote: parole was denied today of course. next hearing in 15 years. he should be dead by then.

He's been incarcerated for most of his late teen and adult life, he has food and shelter, and he's in a protected ward (with Juan Corona who raped and murdered 25 migrant workers in 1971, and John Gardner who killed Amber DuBois and Chelsea King a couple of year back). He has access to health care on-site, something many of my elderly clients don't have. He was able to acquire contraband cell phones a couple of years back and was communicating with 3 different people before he was caught. He got 30 days added to his life sentence as punishment (what a deterrent).

Manson is the epitome of "institutionalized". He'll be 92 when his next parole hearing is scheduled. I'll be disappointed if he's not dead before then, but not terribly surprised.
