Well according to you our whole way of life will crumble to ash regardless of who gets elected so I can't care anymore.

Nah, it's a matter of timing and the long game. Our way of life crumbled decades ago and nobody noticed or cared enough to call foul. Now it's just a matter of watching it completely fall apart, which will probably take longer than our lifetimes. Our kids will be kinda fucked though. Depends on whether the inevitable schism happens with a bang or a whimper. The dissolution of the US as it exists today could very well happen semi-quietly. But I rather doubt it. Not with such a large part of farm country in the red state mix and NORAD located in the heart of the rockies. More likely it will be another bloody uprising focused on a few key areas of the country currently inhabited by separatists who think they aren't being watched. Remember Waco? Yeah, something like that only more of it.

Jumping the Shark

So, Cruz is now in second place behind Trump in the race for the Republican nod.

And, yep..........Trump is recycling his Obama birther strategy, only much more passive-aggressively towards Cruz.

Trump says he just likes Cruz so much, and just doesn't know whether Cruz is actually legally qualified to be President, and so he just advises Cruz to go to court right away and get legal verification because, you know, Donald doesn't wanna win the GOP nomination on a technicality.

As much as Ted Cruz rubs me wrong most of the time, the man is very smart and savvy. He's been avoiding confrontation and humoring Trump all along (in my opinion), staying on friendly terms so he can scoop up Trump's followers easily if/when Trump falls out. And, unlike several other candidates, Cruz has stuck to his game plan despite wild card Trump continually changing the game parameters.

But, this time, Cruz had to respond and demonstrate that he's not an idiot pawn in Trump's game. Cruz's response to Trump telling everyone to doubt his American citizenship and qualifications for presidency: a tweet of this (American pop culture reference) video:


Pretty smart on a few levels, right? I thought so.

And then.............Ted blamed the media for the whole soft-slap confrontation and I was reminded that the oily snake is so full of shit, AND quite possibly a CANADIAN, eh!

By now some of you have heard about the woman wearing a hijab who was at a Trump rally last night. She has claimed she was there because most Trump supports had never met a Muslim before and she did little more than stand there silently. That's it, she stood there. I watched a clip of what went down and I saw her treated like shit by people who were there and then the police were called in to escort her out. Donald Trump is a fear monger and I'd go so far as to say he's a hate monger too.

Every political rally keeps certain people out or try as much as they can. Trump rallies seem to have quite a few people at them as compared to Hillary rallies. Bernie has quite a few also. I think the trust people once had in Hillary is waning.
