Presidential race 2016

I read it. Thanks!

I have such mixed emotions after reading. I'm amused for sure. I alternate between laughing and shaking my head at the audacity. He's a lying liar, that's not an opinion, that's a fact. He lies KNOWING he's lying and he must surely know that he will be called out on the lies and he does it anyway. That is not normal, it's not, not by anyone's standards. Those aren't the actions of a well adjusted individual.

Sad thing is, the knuckleheads here won't so much as crack that link let alone read it. It destroys too many of their preconceptions.
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

I'm watching the Libertarian Candidate Town Hall on CNN right now, Gunnar.

So far, Gary Johnson (former NM governor) and his VP pick William Weld (former Attorney General and Mass governor) are rubbing me way right.

I'm finding them the most direct, sensible, fair-minded candidates when it comes to answering impromptu questions across all of the key issues.

Johnson is a little odd, but in a more palatable way than many of the other candidates who threw their hats in the ring.

The Salon article link is broken, so I didn't get to read it. Here's the FactCheck on Trump's allegations related to Clinton's character.

--Trump falsely claimed that U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens “was left helpless to die as Hillary Clinton soundly slept in her bed.” Two emails from Clinton show that she was awake after it was learned that Stevens had died in the attack on the diplomatic facility in Benghazi.

--Trump misleadingly claimed that Clinton “accepted $58,000 in jewelry from the government of Brunei when she was secretary of state.” He didn’t mention that the gift was accepted on behalf of the United States, and that it was transferred to the General Services Administration.

--Trump claimed without any evidence that Clinton “wants to spend hundreds of billions of dollars to settle Middle Eastern refugees in the United States.” The numbers don’t add up. The total refugee budget was $1.67 billion in fiscal 2016, so it is unlikely that Clinton could add “hundreds of billions” to the budget for refugee assistance.

--Trump overstated his case when he claimed the U.S. “trade deficit with China soared 40 percent during Hillary Clinton’s time as secretary of state.” It went up 17 percent, and we note that trade is under the purview of the Commerce Department, not the State Department.

--Trump blamed Clinton for the “disastrous strategy of announcing our departure from Iraq, handing large parts of the country over to ISIS and the ISIS killers.” The departure date was set by President George W. Bush. President Obama made the ultimate call to keep the scheduled departure date, not Clinton.

--Trump falsely claimed that Clinton would “end virtually all immigration enforcement and thus create totally open borders for the United States.” Clinton supported a Senate immigration bill that would create a path to citizenship for those in the country illegally, but it also would have included large investments in border security.

--Trump falsely claimed that the private server that Clinton used as secretary of state “was easily hacked by foreign governments.” Attempts were made to hack into Clinton’s server, but the identity of the hackers has not been determined and there has been no evidence to date that any of them were successful.

--Trump falsely claimed that “Hillary Clinton’s State Department approved the transfer of 20 percent of America’s uranium holdings to Russia.” The transfer was approved by a committee headed by the Treasury Department and made up of nine voting members throughout government, including one from the State Department.

--Trump claimed he was opposed to the Iraq war “before the war ever started.” There is no evidence of that.

--Trump described the North American Free Trade Agreement as “Bill Clinton’s disastrous and totally disastrous NAFTA.” President Clinton signed the legislation to implement NAFTA, but the agreement itself was negotiated and signed by President George H. W. Bush.

(Trump was correct that Hillary Clinton's claim of arriving under sniper fire in Bosnia was false; she later said she misspoke and retracted the statement.)

He's a pants on fire liar.

The irony, to me anyway, is that one of the biggest complaints coming from his supporters is that Hillary lies. hah

yeah sorry about the link, I noticed it was broken almost immediately due to my trying to link thru the phone, then my attempt to fix it fucked it up worse lol. Shouldn't have even been there. But I love politifacts for setting the record straight. Of course after all your hard work, the Hillary haters are only gonna see like two words: "sent emails."

In the general file they keep on all the candidates Trump came out with the worst record by far in truth, with 76% of everything he said being verifiable bullshit lies. The most honest, surprising only the brainwashed, is Hillary with 26% bullshit. Bernie came away with less complete bullshit lies but a worse record on kinda lies and half truths or deliberate exaggerations. But the two were close, within 3 %.

Ah, I thought the article was deleted because the link did take me to Salon, but said there was an error. No worries, I typed in Duchess' search term and got to it.

Here's the link:

In my observation, there's more than a small percentage of people who insist that people are lying (without substantiating that allegation) and scream about it at the top of their lungs.

However, that only applies to people they don't like and/or if the presentation of the truth requires them to re-evaluate the validity of their previous allegation. If the lie confirms their faulty notions...the deception is ignored, denied, minimized or actually celebrated. It's not how my brain works, but we're all wired differently.

Clinton was in bed, or at the computer, either way people died on her watch. Once you reach a billion does it really matter? Bush pulled out, Obama pulled out, Clinton pulled out, Big deal we pulled out and that was a disaster. End enforcement on immigration or just not enforce it on those already here, still letting fence jumpers in our country. He said he was against Iraq, no proof he wasn't, I believe him. NAFTA was Billy boys pipe dream and was/is a joke.
Like I said BENT it a little, just like any other politician does.

Over 75% of all Trump's public statements are proven false or unsubstantiated, F.U. Rationally, that's not lying 'a little' to anyone but those who lie substantially more than 75% of the time.

Come on pudding pop, I was sure you would catch the Sarcasm01 when I said orange and not white lie. After all these years I thought you would realize that about 75% of the time I am just having fun.

Hilary looks so much better doesn't she? Mostly false. That's some of that "political experience" for ya.
