I think HotD and FU's fridges are from the 70s. You can even see the rubber lining falling of the bottom of FU's.

I like things that are retro and functional, like FU's fridge; the old school faux wood strips are cool.

I did have an avocado green fridge from the 60s or 70s in the house that I rented before buying this place; huge and kick ass cold (but probably not too energy-efficient).

Anyway, the one I have now, in the pic, was purchased new from Sears (along with all of the other appliances in my house) in 2005.

P.s. The sun room downstairs is small and mostly contains stuff from the 60s and 70s - the sofa, posters, books, lamp, beads, records... It all still works. That's my favorite room now that all of that broken and unneeded newer shit that I was storing has been cleared out.

Older stuff is the best, even with the faux wood strips naming which one is for vegetables and cold cuts. Nowadays you spend a fortune and everything takes a shit right after the warranty is up.

It is from the 70's Sally, but it just keeps on working so I dont want to replace it now. In fact it works as good, or even better than the shine new stainless steel one I have in the city.
