Caylee Anthony. NO JUSTICE
User: Well now I get the duct tape--a certain, unusual brand. Seems like a blow to the prosecution.

au contraire...the rare H. brand was found on george's gas can and on Caylee.

:O I'm watching the t.v. now...isn't that enough? hah I thought the point of the duct tape was George was seen with a roll of duct tape during one of the searches, the same brand was on Caylee and the gas can, ergo, George might have done it (and/or the police didn't investigate him thoroughly enough).

Although now that I think about it, I don't recall (or I missed) if the woman who saw George with a roll of duct tape actually said she noticed it was some certain brand.

I'm getting a headache; I'm going to shut up now. Smiley_emoticons_slash

I just want to put it out there. I own duct tape.

better not mention that in the Ohio thread. Smiley_emoticons_stumm

Funny you should mention that seeing as this no longer available, rare duct tape is from Ohio Oops and it is called Duck Tape.

it also shows that casey had access to that same type tape.

so defense says they could be done wed. or thursday, state says perhaps 1 to 2 days for rebuttal, then closings. probably 1 to 2 days total depending on how lengthy. they are better off sticking to maybe 2 hours each, so could be done in one day.
i'd like to see this jury go home for 4th of July, but somehow i doubt it. they might enjoy the fireworks at disney. there is NO guessing how long deliberations will go. although you have sequestered people who are anxious to get home.

Thanks I'll try it.

I have a question for any parent or grandparent out there. I'm just playing devil's advocate. Would you lie on the stand to save your child? Most of us parent's have lied or stretched the truth for our children. I'm talking about little tiny lies and of course I can't think of an example right now. We love our kid's no matter what they do. There are parents out there that have kid's who are in jail for rape or murder (not usually of their own family). Some of those kid's get out and then they go back and live with their parents because the parents accept them back. There is nothing that Cindy, George or Lee can do to bring Caylee back, but they can help Casey. I think that is how they are looking at it. It is clear to me that they love Casey and would probably accept her back in their lives if she were ever were to come home. What would you do???????????? Would you ever lie as in this case or provide a false alibi or give other false info to spare your child from jail time??????????????

Under these circumstances a big NO.
Casey killed her daughter out of spitefull hatred of her own mother. Who knows what she is capable of with that type of unbridled hatred. Cindy knows she was the focus of this hatred and it should put her on lifelong caution. Casey has no remorse and feels for no one. Any display is manipulation and fakery.

I think that Casey looks guilty on many fronts (the 31 days and all the lies being foremost) BUT I'm not sure the prosecution will be able to convince the jury of pre-meditation. I wonder if Casey was doping Calee up with choloroform so she could go out and party and "oops" she over dosed her and then tried to cover it up.

I think that's what Cindy and George are thinking. I think they know that Casey killed Calee but they believe (or want to believe) that she didn't set out to kill Calee (and ergo, she shouldn't get the death penalty).

Back to my corner.

I think you are right. I posted a pic in 'Mother of the Year Candidate' forum to this effect. I agree with you.

This is exactly what I think happened. I think she was out partying and came back to the car and discovered Caylee dead. Then she freaked out and dumped her. She waited a month because she couldn't figure out how or what she was gonna tell her parents and the authorities. She needed a month to conjure up a plan. She came up with a really fucking stupid one.

If Caylee drowned I would think that George would have been screaming bloody murder "Oh my God, Oh my God, somebody help, somebody call 911. And wouldn't Casey have been yelling the same? I think they both would respond that way. I know that my husband and I would and so would my grandson's mother. The houses look fairly close together so why did no neighbors hear the screaming???????????????????? No human is calm and quiet when something like that happens. I know that everyone in my neighborhood would hear me and our houses are far apart!

There may be more though. Like taking her away from Cindy after a fight. A spitefull act.

he went out through the dog door. :(

and nobody duct-taped him and threw him in a trash dump.

DELTONA -- A year-old boy drowned in a backyard swimming pool late Tuesday afternoon -- the youngest of six Volusia County children who have died in family pools this year.

Chase Wilson was lying on the bottom of the pool on Leeward Drive when a family member found him just after 5 p.m., Volusia County sheriff's spokesman Gary Davidson said.

The 9-1-1 call came in at 5:18 p.m., and a dispatcher coached the frantic caller on CPR as deputies were on their way.

The first deputy got there in four minutes. But Davidson said Chase wasn't breathing when he was first pulled from the water.

An ambulance rushed Chase to Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

Both parents and a grandparent were at the house at the time of Chase's drowning, Davidson said.

Family members gathered at the house Tuesday night to grieve.

"This child was everything to everyone," one said before declining further comment.

Parents or grandparents have been nearby at the six child drownings reported in Volusia County this year -- all involving children 4 years old or younger.

In at least four of those cases, the toddlers drowned in just moments while an adult stepped away.

In one case, a 4-year-old boy wandered away from a house where his father was working and drowned in a murky backyard pool.

In another, a 2-year-old boy woke up from a nap, slipped out of his family's home and drowned in his grandparents' pool next door.
