"Honey . . . would you like to come over for a swim?"

"Dad and Lee are here."

I really wasn't talking about shedding a tear for a stranger, I cry everytime I read about a child or animal being abused, that's why I try to avoid reading about it. I was more referring to the people camping out in front of the court house and following the case like it's some kind of soap opera, do they really care that much about the kid or is just entertainment for them? I'm thinking it's entertainment.

Confirmed: Ashton is retiring at the end of the week.

i was quite invested in this case.
but i know enough to move on.
this is the type of thing i saw so often as a florida cop.
kicked in the stomach after working a case like hell. honestly. like Yuri Melich et al did here. Yuri, you were magnificent and a credit to the Sheriff.
so now i will think about the many hundreds of other kids who are missing or murdered.
and leave Caylee to God.
and casey and her parents to the devil.

i see that the street where Caylee was found is swarming with people.

After receiving death threats, George and Cindy Anthony are in hiding, WFTV-Channel 9 reported tonight.

Whaling . . . like Moby Dick.

I'm opposed to and refuse to understand whaling. With friends or strangers.

Waling for children or animals who are abused, I understand and sympathize.

Who was whaling?

Fuck it . . .

It was a poor attempt at a play on words.

"The defense team is inside a bar having a champagne toast, right now," a clearly distraught Nancy Grace said on Headline News this afternoon after the Casey Anthony trial verdict was read.

"Now, you know what? I'm not a preacher and I'm not a rabbi, but there is something wrong with that 'cause Caylee is dead. And her body decomposed just fifteen houses away from where the Anthonys put their head on the pillow overnight. Everyday searching, searching for this little girl," she said.

"Now, I know it is our duty as American citizens to respect the jury system and I do, believe me I do. I've struck over one-hundred juries. But I know one thing: As the defense sits by and has their champagne toast after that not guilty verdict. Somewhere out there, the devil is dancing tonight."

wow.. I feel absolutely gutted. WTF happened here?!?!

Not for one SECOND did I think Casey would be found NOT GUILTY. My only question was.. would she get Life without parole or Death?

I cannot believe the verdict.. if I was a juror I'd be afraid to show my face in public right about now. But I do want to know WHY exactly they reached this decision.

Casey is now free to do as she pleases, just as she always wanted... I just hope the public makes her life miserable

I'm sick of hearing people say "well they couldn't prove how Caylee died." Who the fuck care.. fact is, she is DEAD. not a natural death. she was killed, either by accident or intentionally. Doesn't matter the method.. she is dead and was dumped in a swamp, and Casey did NOTHING to help LE (but lie).

truly sickening!

I didn't drop to my knees and wail, I said I had tears in my eyes,lol.... I was so upset that, that POS could get away with killing her beautiful little girl, I'm hurt that millions of people believe she did it and 12 dumbass people don't and those people got the choice to set her free.. I do however have a question, could the state go after her on similar charges like child endangerment leading to death, or something of that nature, or is it over now? Also, does anyone know if the state will press charges on Cindy Anthony for lieing in court? Btw, it sounds to me like George and Cindy are thinking about if they will talk to Casey or not, from their statement through their lawyer.. I would love to know where shes gonna go when she is released from prison..

i knew a female who killed her twin boys, age 4. i knew her a long time and pretty well. florida was seeking death. there was no question of her guilt. 5 years my Sheriff Dept. invested in that case. and then the state attny. office let her plead it down to 2nd degree to save having to go to trial.
i felt the same that day. she got 20 years. she'll do maybe 10. i've seen her on some TV program about women in prison.

i felt the same nausea and kick in the stomach today. Smiley_emoticons_kotz

casey will do something else. she'll be in serious trouble again someday. she won't be able to help it, she's a classic sociopath.

to answer poster above: no, she cannot ever be tried again for this. that would be double jeopardy.
and i seriously doubt cindy will be charged with perjury.

one other thing...i believe that this jury desperately wanted to go home. they knew if they found her guilty they would be there at least another week. take that for what it's worth.

it is time to consider professional qualified jurors in this country.

I would be happy for a caveat that states no juror can profit from jury service.

Make it a felony if they directly or indirectly receive financial compensation or any perk. No fees, meals, cash, hotels, travel blah, blah, blah.

Also, a felony for anyone enticing a juror after a trial.

A friend told me today that I have to respect the jury's decision. No. I. Don't.
