Sorry to see that you not only lost someone you cared about, but that they had to go in such an awful way. I totally believe that people should have the right to choose euthanasia. If I were heading down that road and to the point of constant terminal suffering, I would want to slip out on a morphine cloud.

Yeah, I'm not going to be one of those people that 'suffers bravely'... as soon as I think the pain is too bad or I'm almost to the point where I'm physically too weak, I'm offing myself.

When the crash team came in I did think myself "what the fuck is the point?, his suffering is over, just let him go" but I was powerless to do anything.
He was fully compus mentus when he died and he didn't indicate "do not resuscitate" in his file when he was given the chance to do so, so...? I am going to the funeral, I promised I would, and it would be so fucking wrong to break a promise you made to a dying man. I am going to give those motherfuckers, his so called family, a piece of mind after the burial assuming they even bother to turn up, I know he didn't have much of anything to leave in a will, so I doubt they will bother.
