HOMELY PEOPLE & LAZY BASTARDS

We discussed going to kindergarten too and she understands that she shouldn't be pooping in a pull up diaper, but when she sits on the toilet she just can't do it. I know it has to eventually come out, but she'll hold it for so long that I'm scared she's going to hurt her stomach doing that.

She won't. I wonder if this dynamic has to do with the pull up? I never had an issue with my kids. Pull ups weren't around when I pottie trained my son, and I refused to buy them for my daughter. I told her she had to be a big girl and use the pottie or be a baby and poop in the diaper. No in-between. Besides... Once they start eating solid foods those little fuckers STINK!!!

Actually "holding it" can lead to worsening constipation. Sally's right that it can cause problems above and beyond just going crap in a toilet.

I must ponder this poop dilemma and see if I have any other ideas.

This is SUCH a great thread for Duchess!!! Smiley_emoticons_hurra3

What if she pooped in her training diaper but did it sitting on a toilet or one of those training toilets? Think she could do that?

For adults yes. Children haven't mastered the art of squeezing it off yet.

Sure they have. Sally said the little thing holds it for hours until she's allowed to let loose in a training diaper. It's not a hard skill to learn (she's not an infant) and holding it can increase constipation and everything else that goes along with that.

My kids use to withhold sometimes. What a pain in the ass, literally. We had to use those little glycerin bulbs (that stuff worked wonders) to sort it out... those meltable suppositories never did the job it seemed. A few times even after the glycerine I had to break the jam first before the rest would come out.

So glad those days are gone. I'm still traumatized by it.

You're the one that brought up the diapers and potty training.

hah I was wondering why you were asking where I've been when I was just here a few hours ago. I was thinking jeeze she's pushy, she doesn't even want a nigger to sleep. I should probably start looking at the dates and reading the thread in it's entirety instead of just skimming.

This is just crazy talk to me. Neither of my kids were ever constipated. Ever. Neither was I as a child. Even being poop shy myself, never once was constipated. What are you feeding these kids!?? hah

Pretty sure it was dairy related. Solved the problem by adding some benefiber to the milk, but every once in awhile we had a blockage so it was back to the glycerine.

I think it probably happened about 4-5 times with each of them over a span of two years.
