I heard they're kinda paranoid; always keeping their eyes peeled for fear of getting pissed on.

Joey Logano ^, the driver who seemed washed up at 22 years old, has won his first career Daytona 500.

But..........I have been kinda missing Big Sal over the last couple of days and this might explain her absence.

She was probably stumbling around at the race, one hand lovingly cupped in her daughter's, the other desperately trying to keep the bottom from falling out of her 12-pack of Burgermeister.

No, we went to Tampa Bay for the weekend to visit my FIL and explore around there.

I'm not a big race fan. The only time it's entertaining is if there is a crash or you go out there with a big group of people just to party. Other than that I'd rather watch paint dry.

I love sports, but to me NASCAR is some of the most boring shit ever created.

My son wanted to tune into Daytona yesterday, so we did for a bit. 3-wide racing for long stretches. No movement, nothing but bumping/pushing/drafting that's supposed to seem really exciting.

Boring as hell.

Was Tampa Bay a cool place to explore?

I haven't seen much of Florida at all, mostly just Orlando and a couple of convention centers in the state.

Florida is a frickin' hell hole.

If it weren't for the beaches and the warmth no one would live there. Picture yourself on Hwy 75 driving south from Atlanta. Nobody lives in that armpit area.

Tampa was nice. We went to the Hard Rock Casino and lost $200, went to the aquarium and zoo, and hung out in Ybor city which is kind of like a little party town and a little strange. The people there had a weird vibe that I can't really explain.

Yeah Florida would pretty much suck ass if it weren't for the beaches and seafood. But, we do have the beaches and there are some very nice ones.

I love the Destin area. Beautiful stretch of beach.

Sanibel is gorgeous.

I've been to Cocoa beach. Not as nice IMO.

I loved my 4 days in Miami Beach @ the Fontainbleu.

Just don't make me hang out inland.

There are beauty creams made with baby foreskins or placenta or something. Not that I've ever used any (Skinceuticals makes a nice one though).

Maggot, just go commando. After a time you develop genital callouses (not that I know anything about that either).

First thing I THOUGHT I SAW. I "love the Desitin area". Sick pedophile. I know that's what you meant.

You're going to the wrong neighborhoods then. I've never seen Florida like you've described.

My first impression of Miami beach was that it's a shit hole. It has it's perks, but all the hotels on the strip look like the same one Tony Montana's buddy was hacked up in. That was years ago so it might be nicer by now.

The nicest hotel we could find was The Alexander and I think it was haunted. The first room they gave us we walked in and all the lights were off with a cigarette burning in the ash tray and no other signs of anyone occupying the room. Then they gave us another room and we heard crazy screaming sounds coming from the air vents all night. My kids were scared shitless.

I've been to South Beach...is that considered Miami Beach?

We stayed at the Cleavelander Hotel. I probably spelled that wrong.
I wasn't really impressed with the whole 'SB' thing, it was a 1 day layover before going to Negril. Waaaaaaaaay too many Cubans...I forgot I was still in the US.

Yes, that's South Beach and I didn't think it was anything great. There are some really good restaurants and I hear the night life is happening, but we had the kids so we didn't partake in that.

As far as the "beautiful people" that supposedly hang out down there I didn't see them. I saw one gay guy walking across the street wearing a thong and a couple of topless old ladies on the beach.

Well, I liked the shopping in Boca, thankyouverymuch. I fit right in given the number of seniors around there and I liked everywhere I was taken on the gulf side. I felt free to go anywhere I wanted but my parents did tell me to stay out of Dade County.
