Trump for president
Yeah, we see/hear it differently, sally.

Trump didn't say anything about the price being right, so I didn't hear him say that. He said because he's a star "they" let him and he could get away with it. However, he does have sexual complaints filed against him.

Trump started off telling a verified true story and talking trash about Nancy O'Dell to her male colleague. She rebuffed him when he moved on her hard (she was married), and he later tried to get her fired when she was pregnant (she filed a complaint and won). He has not claimed that what he said he did to other beautiful women is not also true and I'm not assuming he was lying.

If the other claims he made during his frat-boy like bragging session are not true and he made that shit up, as a 59-year-old married man with a baby on the way and public statements about considering running for president, it says a whole lot about his maturity, character, mindset and ability to lead, TO ME and apparently many others. That doesn't mean I'm suggesting that you, and Maggot, or anybody else should feel the same. I think you should defend, support and/or vote for him all you want.

I don't care, in this context, whether some of the men condemning Trump do some of the same things as he does since they're not in the running to lead this country and aren't repeatedly telling Americans that they respect women more than anyone else in the world.

I know he didnt say anything abot the price being right, but thats basically what he said about being a star. Hes got money and it talks, thats what I chaulked that comment up to. Im only basing my opinion on the video that was posted as I dont know anything about the other allegations you posted about him. From thatvideo I dont think it necessarily speaks about his character. People can jokingly be rude and crude without being horrible people.on the other hand people can be prim and proper and the scumbags of the earth. Im only talking abot his character and what I got fom the video.his qualifications of being the potus is a different story.

I think any older man who's married with children bragging like a giddy schoolboy about pushing himself on women and grabbing their pussies and such, whether all of it's true or not, says a whole lot about his character and mindset. We just have a difference of perspectives there.

Anyway, if the "clown" weren't running to be the President of the United States, we wouldn't be having this conversation. I never had a lick of interest in Donald Trump's character, mindset, or other qualifications to be a branding/real estate businessman or a reality tv star.

Trump thinks his money & fame buy him license to ignore boundaries. When he talks about popping a Tic Tac in case he can't help himself from pressing his revolting mouth on someone else or talks about grabbing a woman's pussy he is talking about sexual assault. Whenever a man pushes his unwanted advances on a woman that is sexual assault. Period.

I listened to some of his supporters, men & women, talk about that video yesterday. They don't care. The women think it was boys being boys and the men said they have all done the same thing in the past. They all found a way to justify it.

Idiocy.

We watched the first part of SNL last night. It was sorta funny, but not as good as last week so we switched to Bill Maher's latest episode On Demand. I've heard you refer to Mark Cuban and his support for Hillary Clinton in the past, but I'd never watched or listened to the guy. I liked him.

Anyway, this piece made me smile hard. I thought it was very smart and funny satire of the truth.

Ahahaha! That was excellent! It's precisely how I think but I don't articulate it as well as he does.

Mark Cuban frequently presses Trump's buttons. Yesterday he said "Every single Trump hotel & golf course is toast. Done. Bernie Madoff now has a better brand". Not long ago he tweeted to Trump that in order to be a billionaire one had to have a billion in the bank rather than aire. Hehehe.

Your outrage over something someone SAID over a decade ago is amusing considering how you worship a proven sexual preditor.
I realize Billy Bob isn't running for president...he WAS president when his shit was going down. Donald Trump wasn't running for president when he said the shit he did. He didn't say anything worse than 100s of millions of other men have said. And the conversations most women have had with each other would probably make John Holmes blush.
As usual, I see no outrage from your crowd about another Huge lie Hillary was caught in Friday night. Poor Bernie...again!

Why do you insist that's outrage? Outrage to me implies anger, what does it mean to you? Also, why do a number of posts you don't agree with, that are more than a couple sentences, often seem like a rant to you? People talk and it's not always easy to condense a thought into a few words.

In regards to Hillary, no one has prevented you from having a discussion about her, all you have to do is start one, FQ2, you know I encourage that.

Well, I certainly don't think that feeling entitled to physically force oneself on others compulsively and grabbing people's genitalia (male or female) without consent is something that's no big deal, just run of the mill shit that every man does or pretends to do then brags about. I'm not outraged about it, but I understand why many in the GOP who say they stand for family values and serve religious constituencies are outraged (or feigning such, in your opinion).

But, I have no reason to lie and pretend that it's something less than it is or that I too act or talk like a sexual predator. That would be idiotic bullshit on my part. It's fucked up to to act like that (or pretend you do), and it was fucked up to physically force oneself on others (or pretend to) in 2005 as well. I don't want a man who treats women that way or for some juvenile reason wants people to think he does in charge of our country. But, there are plenty of other reasons that I don't consider Trump qualified or fit to run the country.

Anyway, for those of you who are speaking on behalf of "most men", I must be very fortunate that in all my years on this planet, I've never to the best of my knowledge encountered one of the supposed hundreds of millions of men who pretend to be sexually predatory for bragging rights. I've also never met any of those "most women" who has conversations with her girlfriends which would make John Holmes blush. None of my sisters, nieces, or other females in my life has ever bragged about engaging in sexually predatory behavior -- not once.

As for Bernie and the Wiki-leaked transcripts, I always said Bernie was right in his statements about some of Clinton's double-sided policies and the DNC favoring her. That's been covered in the other Politics threads at length. You've posted that Bernie was a nut job, which is fine, and didn't participate much beyond that. There's nothing new of substance in the leaks that hasn't already been covered here, that I can see.

From what I read, Clinton told Wall Street bankers privately that she was open to free trade and open borders. She said that publicly back then too. Her platform is now more restrictive in those areas, in part thanks to Bernie. She also told the bankers that she would be open to cutting Social Security, which is not something I support. When she put forth her campaign platform however, she committed to instead raising the payroll cap to keep it solvent with no cuts, in line with Bernie's policy.

There's also a new comment in the leaks about having to carefully craft policy statements for best public consumption because that's politics. Are you outraged that no one in Duchess' crowd has brought that point up, or is there something else in those leaks you want to post and discuss?

I've never come across a man who talked like that either...in my presence. That's why it's called locker room talk.

You people in here voting for Hillary are just as bad as the media. It's all about Trump and trying to destroy him at all costs. Maybe it's just me, but you come across as outraged and a ranting lunatic with every post you write about him. Maybe in a year you should go back and read all these political posts and see how ridiculous some of your posts sound. I'm guessing I'm not the only one that feels that way but, as usual, I'm the only one with the balls to say it. That's probably why you don't get very many replies from the right leaning people. Your biggest problem is thinking we agree with everything he says or does.

I told myself that I was going to just stay calm and keep my mouth shut, but I have just one thing to say.....re talking about fools.

The biggest fool of all time is Donald Trump. He is such a despicable person and I wouldn't care one way or another, but the fact that he running for President, tells me that we have a country full of fools who support him and will vote for him. This is truly sad and depressing to me. I have lived long enough to know about sexual harassment, unequal pay, glass ceiling, physical and mental oppression, women being subservient to men, placing their needs after everyone else, dictating unwanted/unplanned pregnancies, discrimination based on sex, etc. All of these things I see in Donald Trump and his followers.....plus so much more, but I don't want to be accused of ranting....oh hell, I don't care, really......

Yes, there are fools on Mock, and I am so sorry that this is the case. You can call me names or whatever, if you so desire. I really don't care. At my age, I will be true to my beliefs......Yes, you have a right to your beliefs, but when you vote for such a fool as Trump, then you are the biggest fool of all.

Do you not see that the United States is the laughing stock of the World right now due to Donald Trump? I truly don't understand how anyone could support this piece of shit.......don't be a fool, vote blue.......

I'm certainly voting for Hillary Clinton at this point, FAHQTOO, so I take it I'm one of the Hillary voters who you believe is all about Trump and taking him down.

I'm discussing the latest "Trump" news and developments and my opinions of them in the TRUMP political thread, that's it. I don't think anyone here is under the delusional impression that what they post in this small internet forum is going to bring Trump (or any other politician) down.

For over a year, I've posted about every political candidate in the running here at Mock. As a voter, I've looked at Lindsay Graham, John Kasich, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton as worthy of consideration (Gary Johnson for a short while as well). I've had no problem praising and criticizing their words, policies, and styles honestly, no matter what anybody else in here thought about them. It's made for some interesting exchanges, which I don't take personally. So, I think it's pretty clear that I'm not 'all about Trump' in any capacity.
Reply
I'm personally not assuming that YOU, FAHQTOO, agree with everything Trump says and does, though you've only shared defenses of Trump and not any criticisms about his policies, statements, or actions in here for as long as I can recall. So, I'd have no reason to assume that you don't agree with everything he says and does either. I only know that because you say so (which I believe because you've always been a straight shooter).

Anyway.......Trump's debate performance two weeks ago, his subsequent tweets and proactive interview statements to the public and media, the content of the leaked tape and Trump's response to it, the GOP defections.....are all big news in the political arena right now. Of course the media and internet posters are discussing it.

In my opinion, Donald Trump is doing a damn good job of taking himself down with all but his loyal supporters, some of whom openly admit that Trump is right when he says he could do anything, including shoot somebody, and they would still support him. But, that base is not enough to get him elected and I believe he's driving potential new voters away from himself, not towards himself, with his own words and actions.

I'm interested to see if he can somehow turn that around in round 2 tonight.

HairOfTheDog, I saw that too and sensed discomfort from Bill Maher and Mark Cuban when they interacted with PitBull, the last guest to arrive who sat to Bill's left. Maybe it was lack of familiarity or the clash of two cultures, but I saw them overcompensating by touching each other for reassurance that there was "No Offense" intended. PitBull was equally uncomfortable and over accommodating. Mark Cuban cursed a lot and seemed to express bravado, but with great discomfort. They all laughed like someone was behind them with an electric cattle prod.
