THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY
It's so good to see you blueberry. Thanks for checking in. I wish the move had turned out better for you, sounds boring there. I know you really liked your previous location.

I really miss reading your posts and interacting with you here; often wonder how you're doing and what you'd have to say about various issues.

I love you, you fantastically passionate and sarcastic old broad! Smiley_emoticons_smile

Nah, the Clang that makes excuses and shifts the blame on to other people is dead. I'm relatively happy with my job and my life at the moment. Keeping the demons of doubt and fear at bay for now.

Anyway what would happen if I quit or got fired? Most of the higher paying State jobs require good phone skills which I lack. But I've learned to be happen with what I got since I would have been fired if they hadn't been behind on training me and made me do boring box work for 4 months. I would have been trained on the phones before my probation ended, had my anxiety attack, and been fired.

The feeling is mutual, I just adore you too!

I am very happy to see you posting, BBH! Please, don't be a stranger. I enjoy reading your posts and wish you would come in more often. I miss you when you're not around.

BBH, I've been coming around on Trump.

He is extremely divisive, and I wish he'd flush his Twitter account down the toilet.

Last night during the Bears-Packers game I believe all players stood for anthem, with arms locked as a show of unity.

I hope this weekend the rest of the teams take this approach.

At first I was extremely offended by the players kneeling during the anthem, but I'm okay with it now.

Coach Tomlin (black) said it best after Sunday's Steelers fiasco in which one Steeler was seen standing at the edge of the tunnel for the anthem and everyone else stayed out of sight:

'We're football players and coaches first and foremost, and don't want to politicize the anthem. We've got so much on our plate right before a game begins.'

Unfortunately, there are many, many Americans that don't understand the kneeling and they're very offended.

I understand that viewpoint very well.

My hope is, the kneeling is done. That the players will know that they've brought attention to issues that need to be addressed and that football can go back to being about what happens between the lines.

That's not quite how it went down, unfortunately the real reason isn't getting the attention the picture got.

Alejandro Villanueva told reporters Monday that his standing alone on the field for the national anthem before the Steelers-Bears game Sunday was a mix up, and he's "embarrassed" for it.

"Every single time I see that picture of me standing by myself, I feel embarrassed,” Villanueva said (via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette).

Villanueva's appearance on the field, hand over his heart during the national anthem while the rest of his teammates remained behind in the locker-room tunnel, was one of the most striking images on a day of unprecedented protests around the league. Villanueva, a former U.S. Army Ranger who served three tours in Afghanistan, was hailed by many fans as a hero. His No. 78 Steelers jersey is currently the best-selling jersey in the NFL, according to multiple reports.

But Villanueva said his stance on the field resulted from a communication mistake, and he now regrets how he made his teammates look bad.

"Unfortunately, I threw (my teammates) under the bus, unintentionally," Villanueva said.

As Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger explained the situation to reporters on Monday, Villanueva was supposed to stand up front with the team captains near the head of the tunnel during the anthem. But the small area became congested with people running off the field, and Villanueva got separated from his teammates.

“When we came out of the locker room into that tunnel, it was a very small area," Roethlisberger said. "There was a flag or something coming off the field so there were a bunch of Bears fans, coming off the field holding that [and] going in front of us, so it kind of held us up.”

Villanueva said when the anthem started, it was too late for him to leave the field. He says he takes full responsibility for getting separated from the team.

"I made coach (Mike) Tomlin look bad, and that is my fault and my fault only," he said. "I made my teammates look bad, and that is my fault and my fault only.”

Both Villanueva and Roethlisberger regretted the way the entire situation played out. Roethlisberger said the team will be on the field for the anthem before their next game Sunday in Baltimore.

"We as a team tried to figure it out, obviously we butchered it. … I'm not gonna pretend I have some kind of righteous voice," Villanueva said.

44 Good.

I just heard the news that today Trump announced he wasn't happy about Price's chartering those planes and the associated 'optics', and that he would be deciding soon whether or not he'd fire Price.

Price was one of the main voices telling Trump to tackle Obamacare repeal before tax reform, which was a failure and not the sequence Trump initially planned. I don't know if Trump was weighing that in his evaluation, but it sure couldn't have helped Price's case. I guess Price saw the writing on the wall.

Anyway, I'm glad he's out.

I owe apology to Jimbone, Cars, and Blindgreed....I should have written a list and checked it twice......

I don't know how I could forget you all......I would imagine you are unpacking or packing Brother Cars for your trip North (of me)......I thought I had left hot weather behind when I moved to Kansas (except for summer heat), but it was in 90's last week...crazy, dang weather.....but guess I should be thankful I wasn't involved in latest disasters......

Blindgreed, you are still living in beautiful Arizona (except for the 5 month long summer)....i imagine you chillin' with your music surrounded by the mountains and special beauty of the desert....oh, I am going to make myself cry......and still cheering for FF at times

Jim Bone....I asked several months ago what happened to you as you disappeared from Mock...I thought I had probably upset you which I frequently do......Nice to see you back and hope you are well.....see, I can be nice to someone with opposing views....

In any case, love u guys, too....carry on and stay safe......

Do y'all think the Prez is fuming because his SoS called him a fuckin' moron? Ahahahaha!

There is so much shit going down in this administration that the fact the CoS phone was hacked (maybe as far back as December) isn't even a top story. Mobile devices are now banned from the West Wing. *snicker*

Last night after dining with some of the military and their spouses he told the press pool that this is the calm before the storm and when asked "what storm, Mr. President", he responded with "you'll find out". He really is a fucking moron.
