I do not know either way. I more than suspect she got a bee in her bonnet and being the dyed in the wool righteous ideologue she is, got triggered went straight to the gutter in insults and then probably felt bad but was unable to bring herself to really hold herself accountable for it. It would be an admission that the triggering and the batshit ideology that powers it is questionable in its intent and values.

It also struck me that there was so little pushback, which got me thinking, either everyone finds it perfectly acceptable (which I am totally down with. Its easier to take off filters and be a cunt) or everyone was not happy but were scared/awkward/intimidated/confused and did not know how to address it and did nothing.

I've told you more than once that she is not the person you have described. I'm not the only one who has told you that. She is filled to the brim with honor & integrity and I trust her implicitly. She is a wonderful human and I consider myself lucky to have her as a friend.

So you say. Yet when i evidence direct contradiction to those assertions (including a sig where she literally accuses someone of rape apologia because she hold differing opinions, (someone who she apparently likes and knows) what is your reaction?

There was none. The reaction was from others saying lucky i went in to bat for that member and then being offended i had her own words in my sig.

I postulated two reasons why tbis may be so. One is you guys find that level of nasty BS acceptable or you really don't but you feel you can't react for some vague reason (gave a number of choices).

The funny thing was i was taking stock whilst i was removing the sig to see if maybe i HAD simply misread the forum and maybe this was not the place that it was back in the day. Maybe the calls to not be such a nasty, cantankerous curmudgeon were warranted.

Maybe what used to be acceptable is no longer. Maybe HoTD's Gutter Sliming was unacceptable and i should raise my standards accordingly. Why not? Remove the sig, change behaviour and communication style whilst at it?

Definitely needs a bit of Anti-Trust treatment and in FaceBook and Google. Bust them all up and remove the concentration of power they have they cannot be publishing platforms up until the time they need to regulate and then duck behind being open platforms and town squares when they don't.

Apple and Amazon should be similarly broken up for the monopolies they are.
