ELECTION 2020
I'm not a big fan of polls. But it does look like Bernie is losing steam. Hell......Biden is losing steam, he wants a chair for the debates.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Trump and his re-election campaign were apparently right to view Biden as their biggest threat for over a year, and Biden and his campaign were definitely right to predict that a big victory in South Carolina would catapult him to victory in many of the following states.

The turn out for the Democratic primaries has been very high, just like in the 2018 midterm elections that saw Democrats take back the House.  That's a really good sign for Democrats and other voters who want Trump out of the White House.

And those voters are uniting behind one candidate, Biden, in a big way.  Biden whopped Bernie in Mississippi, Missouri, Michigan and Idaho last night (across all demographics except the youth vote, where turn out hasn't been what Bernie needed/hoped).  North Dakota and Washington are too early / too close to call yet.

I think Bernie Sanders (and Elizabeth Warren) were successful in bringing a lot of critical issues for young people and lower/middle income earners that have been ignored/neglected/covered-up by the government for decades to the surface and mainstream attention.

They were the two best candidates when it comes to communicating their messages, to my ears.

I think Biden is politically savvy and compassionate enough to work closely with them to seriously address those issues in his presidential platform if he knocks Bernie out of the running (which looks extremely likely).

It won't be surprising if Warren, like Andrew Yang last night, endorses Biden in the very near future, even though her policies more closely align with Sanders'.  The writing is on the wall.

And, I don't think Bernie is gonna need to be pulled out of the race kicking and screaming like a lot of the pundits and registered Democrats are positing.  Weird that I keep seeing/hearing that.  That's not what Bernie's putting out there, at all.

Instead, I think he'll call it quits and get behind Biden following Sunday's debate and Tuesday's primaries, if he doesn't manage to score some overwhelming upsets.

Anyway, hopefully, Biden's team is working with him on debate strategies and skills.  It would be encouraging to see him pull off a strong performance against Bernie, who is consistently focused and strong on the debate stage.

The North Dakota caucus/primary counts are completed.

Bernie Sanders won the state, however there aren't a lot of delegates at play and Biden also got a lot of votes (and will thus get a high percentage of the allocated delegates).

Washington state went big for Bernie over Hillary Clinton in 2016 and he may win it again, but it's neck and neck right now.  So, even if Bernie pulls it out, he'll be splitting the delegates with Biden.

As of this morning, the delegate counts to-date for the Democratic candidates stand at (1) Joe Biden: 823, (2) Bernie Sanders: 663, (3) Tulsi Gabbard: 2.

I was pleasanty surprised to see the east side of the state (where I live) to be divided over Bernie and Biden. I wasn't surprised though to find that Trump still won on this side of the state. I live in a very red area.

I live in a very red area too now.

I thought Bernie's press conference today was really smart and responsible.  He acknowledged that he's getting beaten by his friend Joe Biden (they truly have been friends for some time).

He also acknowledged that he and his staff have been told thousands of times by voters that they agree completely with Bernie's platform, but they're voting for Joe because they think he has a better of chance of beating Trump.

So, Bernie said he's looking forward to debating Joe Biden one-on-one in Phoenix on Sunday (no live audience due to Corona virus) and letting the voters decide who's best qualified.

Bernie reiterated his profound criticisms of Trump, along with his commitment to support the Democratic nominee fully and do everything in his power to defeat Trump in November.

He didn't concede the race, but he seemed to be laying the groundwork (the delegate math doesn't look good for him).  He explicitly told Biden what he will be asking him to address during their debate on Sunday, namely:  climate change, income inequality, criminal justice reform, educational access for everyone, healthcare for everyone, etc.

In so doing, Bernie has given Biden a public heads up and Uncle Joe won't have any reason to be unprepared -- Bernie has set him up to win over as many Bernie supporters as possible (which the Dems will need to show up in droves to beat Trump in November).

While Biden is beating Bernie by large margins overall, Bernie is beating Biden with voters under 40 years old across the board.

And still...............I'm reading comments from Democrats and Biden supporters accusing Bernie of trying to dictate Joe Biden's agenda and being an ego-driven narcissist.  It's very weird to me.

I thought Joe Biden looked and sounded quite presidential today when he held a press conference to address the Coronavirus pandemic.

Barack can't make up his mind!

I just saw Him today endorsing Joe for POTUS in a political commercial.

Two commercials later I saw Barack endorsing Bernie for POTUS!

So which one is it, make up your mind!

If you want to get technical, he didn't use the word endorse, but he did back both Joe in one commercial and back Bernie in another commercial.

Cars, if you're interested in knowing the truth, google the commercial so you can read the facts behind it yourself. President Obama has not endorsed any presidential candidate at this time. That's a fact.

Both Joe & Bernie are using Barack in their commercials, and Barack has not put a stop to that, so it seems he has to be OK with it appearing as he's backing them. If I was Barack, I would have put a stop to it.
But that's just me.
