ELECTION 2020

Three in your real name. Infinity until they catch you in fake names. One of my favorite fake names I used to vote: Donald Gay Blumpkin.

(Sad to say I was leaning towards Joe. But after hearing some of Joe's recent policies, I believe he will actually make things worse. He's wishey washey, soft, not callous enough and won't be able to deal with China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, and the like, just like AK Obama couldn't.

To add to the mess, I don't like Donald as a human being at all, (Self explanatory) but I have said all along I do
like some of his policies and still do. He is callous enough to deal with others from a position of power, not weakness.

Therein lies the Rub!

I so wish Donald was more couth! And more caring for people as well (That's my opinion, and I'm stikin to it!)

Agree with Cars. Politicians in general are just bad people, and nothing ever really changes no matter which mascot is in the captain chair. Problem with Donny is that he's a CEO, and half of his current company is predisposed to hating his guts and criticizing every move he makes. You get combative and condescending in that position, which let's face it he's probably already wired that way for starters. Not a good dude, but I bet the criticism of him is overblown too.

Can't say Biden inspires much confidence tho. Anyone who's been muppety enough to be VP is probably too much of a muppet to be prez. I liked Obama as a person, Joe seems like a creepy old uncle. The two of them together didn't do much for me personally aside from add a penalty for not having a good enough job to have health insurance.

Guys, how about sane vs insane. Competent vs incompetent. Does his daily pathological lying enter into your thoughts at all? Don't say they all lie, what trump does is on a whole other level.

Today he is doing a round table in a place he was asked not to come to and while there he looked around the table and asked where "his Reince" is. Reince Priebus has not been in his administration in over 3 years now.

I didn't see Car's comment and holy shit. How has strongman Trump dealt with China, Russia, North Korea, Iran and the like? He hasn't. The tariffs against China have cost Americans money, not China. Trump is Putin's bitch and has been for decades. North Korea thinks Trump is a joke and they most definitely haven't stopped their nuclear testing program. Iran is ramping up their own nuclear program since Trump pulled us out of the agreement.

I can't believe anyone is even considering voting for Trump unless they're a hardcore cultist.

The stock market has roared back from pre corona levels to erase all loses. The ETA's have come back well and with the vaccine right around the corner the stock market will be seeing even higher results. United States manufacturing levels has almost tripled with the export almost doubling. Trump's tariffs on China is finally bringing jobs back to the U.S. These things take time and many people look for instant gratification as that is the new norm this century.

Notably, reports of new coronavirus cases in the United States seem to subside a bit, which is buoying investors’ enthusiasm. Also, President Donald Trump’s moves on coronavirus vaccine seem progressive. The US government signed a $1.5-billion coronavirus vaccine supply agreement with Moderna (MRNA) for the manufacturing and delivery of initial 100 million doses of its potential coronavirus vaccine, mRNA-1273.

The U.S. government has been inking such deals under its Operation Warp Speed program to purchase heaps of potential coronavirus vaccine doses from several companies, per The Economic Times article. The United States entered into advanced purchase agreements for potential coronavirus vaccine candidates with Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), AstraZeneca Plc (AZN), Pfizer Inc (PFE) and BioNTech, and Sanofi and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).

"The United States imposes tariffs (customs duties) on imports of goods. The duty is levied at the time of import and is paid by the importer of record. Customs duties vary by country of origin and product. Goods from many countries are exempt from duty under various trade agreements."

The importer of record means the vendor that receives the goods here in the US who then increases the cost of those goods which is paid by the consumer.

Hi Ya Cutz, it's good to see you back here! 44

It's really an appalling situation with only Donald or Joe as our only sad sack options!!

Usually I make jokes and quips with a somewhat to extremely subtle metaphor or point... but this is the stupidest goddam thing I've ever seen written in a public forum.

Donald Trump often measures his performance in the White House by how the stock market performs. Unfortunately, by that measure, his trade war with China has failed. New research by economists from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and Columbia University found U.S. companies lost at least $1.7 trillion in the price of their stocks due to increased U.S. tariffs against imports from China.

Great article. "Trade tension went up... stocks went down... $1.7 trillion pain."

Oh what about when trade tension declined and stocks went back up? Fucking ridiculous. Don't use economy to argue politics, Trump may be a moron but he's benefited the economy greatly.

If you want to argue intelligently about Trump being bad for the economy, argue long-long term. He's lowered corporate taxes (increasing the profits of American businesses), imposed tariffs on Chinese goods (driving up demand for American manufacturing), and reworked a trade agreement with North America (increasing intellectual property rights, giving incentives for domestic car production, and lowering taxes on American goods for Canadians.) These are all positives for the American economy. The only smart anti-Trump argument is that he's pulled these levers to boost the current economy, which means they can't be used to pull the U.S. out of a recession in the future. You could lower taxes from 30% to 20%, I guess, but there's less cushion so it lowers the effectiveness. The U.S. economy is on like year 12 of expansion when you're supposed to have contraction every 5-8 years.

To say "Oh no actually Forbes says he's bad for the economy!"... that's just dumb. Delusional, politically driven, spun bullshit. Wall Street Journal or bust, first of all. Second of all... NO. Just wake up. He's an asshole, but he's helped the economy.

It was a couple years after breaking the Monika story and a little after Trump called Matt a Democrat stooge. I guess it was true.

I don't know much about Drudge other than he's pretty far right. I saw him on Larry King back in the day and I don't recall being turned off by him, maybe he hasn't always been a little out there.
