Not sure but you can probably count them on one hand.

They gave one to MacArthur after he disobeyed a direct command to execute an attack plan, resulting in his squadron being wiped out on the ground. The reasoning was something about boosting morale. I'm sure it boosted his morale, since he should have been court-martialed.

Another fun fact about MacArthur is he and Eisenhower were offered 100k "gifts" by the president of the Philippines: Eisenhower declined, MacArthur accepted.

Hmmm . . . just read certain models of the F-35 have an "automatic ejection seat" function.

As the military hasn't released any radio chatter from the pilot, we are to left assume his ejection was an act, decided and performed, by him.

I'm still thinking it was a "HAL and Dave" thing.
