With my ex-FWB he doesn't want to loose his son. He wants to be able to be with him everyday. Plus, this is his second marriage and his first wife moved out of state with the kids and it kills him that he can't see them all the time. I guess people have their reasons for doing what they do.

The rights that the court awards to step parents is laughable in most States.

I didn't mean lose his son as in he would never see him. I meant lose him as in shared custody. And it's his son with his second wife. He has 2 with the first and 1 with the second.

It was a generic statement though Ramsey. The court doesn't always seem to care that a step-parent may have been every bit as important as a biological one. A close buddy of mine got divorced in New Zealand and never got to see his step-children again. I don't think the courts care one iota what that did to his heart.

Those judges should come to America for a while. Once they see what Black males in USA do with regard to abandoning children, they would embrace someone who wants access to his stepchildren after a divorce. And in this guy's case he can't have kids of his own so he lost his whole life when she went back to NZ with their kids.

It breaks FWB's heart that he can't see his older children very often. He used to drive 8 hours one way every month to see them. He just can't do that now. He was even going to transfer through the company to the office in their state but it didn't work out. He was devastated. I felt so bad for him.

Then there are guys like my ex that are the biggest asshole fathers. So much so that his oldest son wants nothing to do with him and his youngest if given a choice would rather stay with me than go to his Dad's. That is sad too.

Our society needs to stop and think. Human relationships are not like a used dixie up at a fast food restaurant. The human condition in USA is turning into landfill. People do not value or respect others. *

To be a man in the 21^st century is no joke, honestly nobody gives a flying fuck about men, their feelings or their welfare.

When a woman goes missing it is a case of "where has she gone?, what has become of her?, she left two children behind who miss their mother, we must find her", when a man goes missing who gives a fuck?, "what?, he was depressed? boo-hoo! fuck him, no one made him walk out, I hope he walks into a deep lake".

Men are expected to take more of a hands on role with their children but if the marriage or relationship ends?, fuck him.
