It was about 15-20 min for me at 10am. I am more concerned about my Rep & Senators. But later at about 5:30 pm the places were mobbed!

That is the most disturbing thing I've witnessed today. Mind you that I am surrounded by morons who vote by color, prejudice, gender, or for Jesus Chist.... the sake of it with the eeny meeny miney mo method. But the right to vote should never be done casually as those dim wits have done by you today!

You know, Sometimes it would be good to reinact the draft. Everyone should serve their country for a time. Maybe it would give them a better perception of the freedoms they take for granted.

Better yet, like in the book Starship Troopers, you are not a citizen of the planet until you serve!

Yea I was pretty amazed at how ridiculous these people were and if we would not have made it to the door to start voting I probably would have outright yelled at them for being so dumb.

Well like duh!! Why do you think that race has anything to do with it?

Personally, I don't think race should have anything to do with it, but I think it probably does.

I have just witnessed history in the making and for the first time in a very very long time, I am hopeful for a better and brighter future for all of us.

For the people of the US, the people of the UK and the people of the world.

Yes we can.

Aside for the fact that I have my own predictions about America and the world after yesterday's elections, one thing is absolutely certain and pretty evident in the crowds of people seen once Obama was announced as the new President.

Racial relations, not just in America but around the world, can now move forward to take on its' new face...
  • One that looks ahead instead of behind
  • One that desires a common bond of humanity not skin colors
  • One that swaps out the phrase "who is the smartest race" for "we are a smart Human race"
  • and one that realizes that the sum total of all our experiences on this planet is what makes us one of the most sentient life forms in this huge universe of ours.
I believe we can "get over ourselves" and embrace our differences to produce a more cohesive group of beings who are able to understand and remain sensitive to the variant degrees of life on our planet. I believe we have the potential to realize our significance and measure up to our highest dreams for the future of...

our planet, our children, ourselves
[ok, so what if President Obama had a better speech, I still think he should have used mine...just sayin] ::dunno::

Now, the only thing left to find out is if my son voted inthe first ever election he could. If he didn't, watch for a mushroom cloud coming from the general direction of Detroit. Z....HEADS UP!!! If my boy didn't vote, it is gonna get so ugly.::batguy::
Everyone in my house went to the poles at the same time and we usually are in and out in a matter of moments. There was a record turnout at our location and we arrived at 7:30am didn't get home until 11am.

This was our son's first election as well and he had a 9:30am psychology lab to get to. He stayed until he finished voting then we took him to the campus. How did your son come out Mistress? Did he make it down to the poles?

I believe America is making a statement with this election and the worlds eyes are on us now.

I have not spoken to the little snot yet. He must not have voted, because he isn't answering my calls and fears my wrath.

You mean "polls" everyone went to the "polls".

Unless of course you were all looking for "poles" to piss up against like a dog? or dance alongside like a whore?

Surely you were around when we all decided that mentioning spelling errors was boring, petty and blase'? *YAWN* Get with the program, dipshit.

I am only following the example that is set by the grammar Gestapo, Eva. Of course its boring until I make an error then its all bets are off again right?

I reserve the right to highlight truly retarded spelling whenever I see fit, especially if its the same retarded error more than once within the same post.

Well, the little shit just called me, finally. He did NOT vote. He just "doesn't care about that crap" and he didn't go. It took me sending him a text message threatening to show up at his work and embarass him if he didn't call me to get him to call. The little snot. ::batguy:: Very disappointed. I wonder at what age who runs our country will matter to him. *sigh*
