The tragic thing is after the election is all over the democratic mongs and the Republican mongs will be going hell for leather in the political forums either celebrating or commiserating or taking the piss out of each other. Honestly if you thought the likes of sirlamre and Millenium were unbearable now, just wait until the result is announced, I think I might collapse the political forum, for a couple of weeks anyway.

I said exactly the same thing. It's not going to get better when the election is final, it's going to get ten times WORSE. You actually said something vote-worthy, Poophole. Will wonders never cease.....

Exactly, everything the victor of the election does when he gets into office will be dissected with a fine tooth comb, if McCain wins he won't be able to fart without someome like sirlamre starting 4 threads about, and the same goes for Millenium and Obama, if barrack so much as coughs Millenium will be ranting and raving like the right wing lunatic he is.

I personally can't understand how any adult human being with a brain can take politics seriously anymore. I used to be quite passionate politically, but as time passed I began to realise that no matter which party was in power, shit just stayed the same.
You know for a fact that when you see politicians debating in Parliament, or the Senate or the Congress or whatever, you just know that afterwards they are in the bar laughing their asses off, lighting each others cigars with $100 bills.
Its all a load of crap, its just us ands them, and they couldn't give a flying fuck about us unless we are millionaires like them or we have shit to blackmail them with.

Twice in a row. You're on a roll, Poophole.

I find it a bit disturbing that I am agreeing with you, but there it is. What I find most revolting about politicians is we all KNOW they are lying through their fucking teeth whenever they open their mouths. As soon as they take office, all the pretty promises they made are conveniently forgotten and they go forth and fuck the American people up the ass. "Oh, did I say that? Well, now that I'm here in the White House, I am untouchable, above the law and I can do whatever the fuck I want to because I am the leader of the super power of the world. Fuck the citizens; I'm gonna do whatever I want; the hell with my promises."

Every last one of them is a corrupt, lying, self-serving FUCK.

Thats true they are all liars.

Eleven years ago during the election the new Labour party were handing out cards with 10 promises printed on them, you know how many of those promises they kept?, one!, the other nine were conveniently forgotton about.
The new Labour party is no longer socialist, it is just a clone of the Conservative party that they replaced in 1997, nothing has changed, the rich are still getting richer, and the poor are still getting poorer. the average working man with a family is still getting shafted with a broom handle everyday.

I am shocked....truly floored and staggered that even one was kept. Perhaps to prevent rioting in the streets? It must have been beneficial to one of the powers that be to keep that promise. It certainly wasn't for the good of the citizens or that it was the right thing to do.

Well, I did the deed...The first time I voted I felt a sense of "empowerment", funny how I no longer get that feeling...Sinister & OP, you both are so right on about how this won't be the end of it...I've had to stop going certain places 'cuz I know there will be somuch "in your face" political talk that I have had real feelings of hate, this coming from someone who has never hated another person in my life...Whatever "faith" I had in this sort of thing when I was younger is gone, I don't trust or believe in any of them.

OP, why do you follow American politics so closely? You seem to know more about our politicians than your own, so I'm just curious.

I do not follow politics and do not pretend I understand it.

I think, from what littleI have seen, this pic that was sent to me could be pretty close to correct.

I am fascinated with lots of American things, politics is just one of them. I like America and American things, I only take the piss out of them to rile some of the flag waving retards here.

I've been saying this from day 1. I don't believe Obama will be able to do much of anything different due to how much of it there is to do in the first place. Also, the fact that he is A POLITICIAN alone denotates that he has an agenda that will serve OTHER POLITICIANS and the wealthy far more than any U.S. citizen. Sorry, but although it may be a monumental moment in American history, I'm affraid it will be the same old soup warmed over. I would love to see a true change but I think the only way I am going to see that is if I move my family to another country [Image: sorry.gif]

[and that's my political rant for the day]

No I am not jealous, given the choice I would choose to live in England over anywhere in the states.

How sad the point you make is, but how true, and not only for the US, but also your country, my country and pretty much anyone with a Democtatic system in the world atm.

The political goal of achieving a 'what's best for the country long term' has been lost long ago for a 'what's going to keep me in power' attitude, to the detriment of the people. The corruption, mis-management and over the top media spin selling is so blatant the public are almost taunted with it

Well, I went and voted after I took off from here this morning. I expected a huge long line, and I was in and out in 20 minutes. Now, the only thing left to find out is if my son voted inthe first ever election he could. If he didn't, watch for a mushroom cloud coming from the general direction of Detroit. Z....HEADS UP!!! If my boy didn't vote, it is gonna get so ugly.::batguy::
