Your husband must have some special superfast shortcut to NYC from the DC area to have a short trip for a spa treatment, baby shower and back home. Unless you're on a laptop so occupied with the need to be on here you're not giving your full attention to your family and the day's events?
I know for a fact it's at least a 4 hour drive with no traffic and breaking the speed limit to NYC from DC.

We arrived last night @ ~ 7 or 8 p.m. We are still in NY. The shower starts in about an hour. We'll be leaving for home after I spend ~ an hour @ the shower. We both have to work in the a.m. My husband is still working on his paper & I am waiting for my other sister to come pick me up.
