I decided to check out ebay to see what all the fuss is about. I found a damn good deal on some nifty shorts for my husband. I just put a bid out on them suckers.

E-bay may be OK for a buyer but more and more sellers are finding out that they are better off selling on Craigs list or on a forum that is specific to what they are selling. I know that selling coins on e-bay is a pain in the ass and not worth the effort. Now if you want to buy pretty knickers like lumpy or British flags like OP or horse ticklers like Duchess it may very well be like heaven on earth. I think they suck.

Want.

I ebay sometimes (mostly as a buyer). Usually if I'm looking for something very specific (I don't just "shop" there). The only problem I've had was with some Frontline I bought there for my dog. I don't know why but that batch just didn't seem to work--she got a few ticks.

Oh you think there is shit on Ebay then you have to check out Freecycle!

This stuff gives crap away. I've used it to give away stuff that can actually be fixed but too big to sell on Ebay. You should see the riff-raff that came to my door for the lawn equipment!

JB, Craig's list probably has a bigger fencing operation than Ebay does.

That's better than CraigsList. There's women on there selling their "dirty" panties. They even let you say how you want them dirtied. For shits & giggles I responded to one and said that I wanted them stuffed up her pussy with my cock used as a ramrod while she cums. She didn't go for it. Smiley_emoticons_wink

I used e-bay a whole lot a few years ago...I needed to decorate an entire floor I wanted to surprise my husband when he came back from Iraq and do a whole Dallas Cowboys thing in the den and the associated rooms. I got all of it - Dallas Cowboys light fixtures / street sign / pillows / shower curtain / wall clock / bar / football soap dish..lots of stuff - all via e-bay. Saved a shitload of $ that way. I also did Sponge Bob and then Cars for my son's bathroom...e-bay was a good source because I could get new items on the cheap. It cost under $50 each time he wanted to change his bathroom.

I was a good e-bayer too: I paid right away & left honest feedback every time.

The single bad experience I had was with that coca cola flatware set I tried to send as a gift. ANd ya'll can mock - but I felt bad about that. (The thing is I am careful. I never buy from someone with too many complaints or a low rating...so I don't get why that happened.)

One semi bad experience was with an item I paid for which I did not receive. Since I used pay pal, I filed a compliant through them & then got my money back in 30 days. So, I really don't see that as 100% "bad". I think it's better to not receive something because the complaint process seems more daunting when you get the item and it sucks.

I'm a purse & shoe freak and I see all the tempting e-bay purses....but for designer items like Coach, Dooney & Burke, or Louis Vuitton, I go to the actual stores so I know I'm getting an authentic item. Other than that, I think e-bay is fine *as long as you use pay pal.

The worst was the hamster cage I bought that they said was in mint condition and it came to me with leftover bits of bedding, crusted with piss and chunks of hamster crap lodged in the cracks.
I used to buy them for the wire doors to make my own cages for my hamsters when I had them. I had a fit and they told me that's how they described it. Ummm no. WTF would anyone do with a filty cage?! It went directly in the trash.

So, wait - you didn't complain?
