Duchess jinxed me, she said it's spring. hah
i woke up to a lovely snowfall, and it's still coming down. i read online there are accidents all over the place, so i decided to cancel an appt. and stay off the roads. it's very pretty.

Spring skiing in New England is always a blessing! it's usually mushy rather than icy, and you don't freeze your bazungas off. skiing in shorts is traditional~~the ski areas up here in NH and Vermont are trying to stay open until Easter.

HEY!! NOOOOOOOOOOO Big surprise

Weather forecasters say a springtime snowstorm is likely to dump as much as a foot of wet, heavy snow and rain in the Northeast just ahead of April Fools’ Day.

The National Weather Service says the storm is expected to hit Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine from late Thursday through Friday evening.

hey Maggot...this was in a UK newspaper! hah

An April Fools is no joke in two U.S. states today as heavy snow caused chaos on the roads and power cuts - just like the weather experts predicted.

Heavy wet snow clung to road signs and trees in Maine and if it wasn't snowing in New Hampshire it was raining.

Up to 10 inches of snow is expected in some areas of eastern New York - where there were light flurries in the city - and New England.

I have come in here today to check out the daily goss. I have been working my arse off today with all this bloody study. Have finished so now I can kick back and enjoy my weekend. I have just been admiring all the beautiful snow and the icebergs. I am wondering if any of you live in a house with a fireplace? I don't have a fireplace but as I live here in a cold climate some houses do have a fireplace and I think that there is nothing like it. I wish we had a fireplace.

I would like to add that I am sober..................at the moment! ha. Don't hate me!!!!!! ahahaha. love you guys

I have a fireplace, and a wood stove, and a natural gas furnace.

If you want a fireplace build one, they are not hard to build.

I want all of the above! The house must be lovely and cosy and snuggly in winter. Like the kitchen sounds like one of those lovely places the family congregate to have a hot beverage and laugh. I can't build a fireplace, where would I put the chimney?

What about are there places I can go that specialise in indoor fireplaces? That would be a dream.

I know, there are lots of houses that have fireplaces here in tassie as it gets so cold, but mine isn't one of them. I am going to ring around tomorrow and see if I can get an indoor fireplace.

Electricity bills are about 700 dollars a quarter and that is conservative compared to what some people pay. Such a ripoff and not as nice as a fireplace.
