+your daily weather report+

I was checking out the "month ending" bs on our weather station and we got 9.20 inches of rain outside my door in the month of June.

It's raining...again.

That would be our total rainfall for 2 years!

Did I mention we've cooled down to 114?

Do you ever miss green & lush, Tiki? I know you travel frequently & have other homes so you probably get to see it now and then.

Not miss . . . but I appreciate and am mesmerized by it even more, when I'm surrounded by foliage.

I love the mountains in the West.

I could easily live anywhere above 7,000 feet and feel completely alive!

And the tropics? My skin and brain thanks me every time I visit.

But I'll always have a home in the desert.

The seasons, like me, are wonderfully subtle. hah

It's finally supposed to start cooling down here. I've been checking the weather on my phone obsessively the last few days.

I hear that! I gave up on my hair 2 weeks ago. I'm staying inside for the most part too.
I wonder why the humidity in the tropics is so much more tolerable?

Because you have the beach, the ocean, and lots of alcohol.

Be careful what you wish for CN. We've had tons of rain here to the point that every time it rains, we get floods. Not in my area but in the surrounding areas.

There's a lot of areas in the north east of England that seem to flood every time it rains luckily there aren't any major rivers where I live and we are over 200 feet above sea level.

How hot is it, OP? Above 80? Do you have humidity there? How come I never hear about tornadoes in the UK?

Where I am its currently about 25 degrees centigrade what's that in fahrenheit? About 77? 78? We have humidity but nothing like the southern states of the US. A few anomalis freak tornadoes have been reported especially recently with all the other fucked up weather but nowhere near as big as anything you'd find in tornado alley.
