+your daily weather report+
I have an old generator, but it's so loud it's not worth turning it on just to run the kitchen or a fan. A cooler with ice, canned food and an outdoor grill is fine with me. It was not having AC that was the worst. I remember after that storm passed it was so hot it was unbearable, I slept in my car with the AC running for a few nights.

C'mon!!! The newspapers have been salivating over the possibility of terrible things happening to people with this storm.

The weather terrorists here are absolutely batshit right now. They are talking about it stalling on my coast and dumping 5+ inches of rain. I can deal with rain. *nods*

It's so nice out I put the rabbits out in the backyard to play.

All the schools here were cancelled too. Which it was pouring out right at the time school starts, but that only lasted an hour.

I went outside to try to get a cute picture of them, but they were too busy doing what they do best.

They are gorgeous! Particularly the black one.

The black one is Louis. He was so cute when he was a baby, his ears are always like that where one sticks up and the other down. Now he's just an asshole. I might consider trading him in for a refugee, it depends on the refugee.

We were supposed to go to a friend's BD party Sunday on Fire Island.

After having to drive 135 miles and going over bridges, and then needing to take a 45 minute "ferry ride" to get there, and with Hermine coming to that area, re-thinking going.

I was thinking about you this weekend when I heard that NY was closing it's beaches on Labor Day. I saw a weatherman giving his report on the beach closures in sunny blue skies. Newton is starting to roll in here from Baja. I hope we get some steady rainfall. The desert is as green as I've ever seen it this year and I'd like it to stay that way for as long as possible.

WE had some pretty heavy drizzle yesterday and this morning it is 54 with a high of 79. After the humid nightmare of North Carolina last week it feels delicious and is very unusual for the summer here, I'll take it!

Would you consider nekkid rain dances? My well needs a refill. The river that runs behind the house is now a field. Smiley_emoticons_slash
