From my experience growing up, the kids in Springfield were kind of like gangsta lite and they probably thought it was cool to hang out with "real" gangstas.

Her sisters boyfriend is not like that. He's a great guy. He's not at all gangsta.

This is true. HE IS NOT AT ALL GANGSTA!

I think it's safe to assume that the coroner, or whoever it was who made the statement regarding cause of death, may not have revealed everything. He said they had injuries to their necks. So did Nicole Simpson.

The coroner specifically said....
but no other significant marks, he said

I have tried looking for them as well. They are no longer available on 13abc's website nor the Toledo Blade(which was recently redesigned).

Exactly, On top of all that they plaster the shit all over their facebook, Open for all to see. Dont you think if their parents gave a shit they would have at least tryed to put a stop to it? I Guess not being they were to fucking busy building their own resume.....or should I say rap sheet. Im just saying it has a lot to do with the parenting. I fought my kids all the way, and you better believe they hated my guts. Not saying they didnt find their share of trouble like most kids, but they knew if I found out their ass was grass.

You sound like you were (are) a great parent...I have no doubt...I would like to think my husband and I were too however there are so many zillions of factors...the "luck of the draw", biological, the kids individual "perceptions", etc. that I don't really think we can accept the "credit or the blame" of how our adult children turn out (except of course if we were total degenerates)...I'm talking about reasonable people who try their best to provide essential, food, shelter, love, guidence, value education, etc....

If you provided all that for your children and you were involved in there life then You did your job as a parent. And yes all that may not keep them from making bad choices, but I could at least have a clear concience (spelling?).
The parents to these gang banging thugs obviously did not do their job. I do take credit for my kids. I didnt sit on my ass smoking a doobie. My kids were giving the option to make good choices. The rest was up to them.

In the last couple of days one person has posted that he/she
has close contacts with the LE and Lisa was treated worse than
previously mentioned.

How can that be true if the:

"Lucas County Coroner James Patrick said autopsies performed Tuesday showed that both Ms. Straub and Mr. Clarke died from asphyxiation. They had injuries to their necks but no other significant marks, he said."

THE TWO STORIES DO NOT COMPUTE.
WHO ARE WE TO BELIEVE? THE CORONER OR A POSTER HERE?

LE will withhold some info if they deem it necessary to further their investigation etc. You know, the whole play it close to the vest thing.
So there is some info that only the perp would know.

ACUTALLY, the coroner said, "neither had any other significant injuries."

INJURIES, not marks.

This could mean that there were other injuries, but none that were significant enough to be the cause of death.

I agree Toledo is not a shithole but it is cheap to live there and not a lot of jobs so therefore there are a lot of people like this. I am originally from lima, hour south of toledo
And my bf from toledo and we left both because there is not a lot of jobs. I've always said toledo is a bigger lima...low income and drug infested in some areas. I now live in a columbus suburb...single mother college graduate that works 2 full time jobs to make sure my 16 year old son see a better way than being a dope dealer making fast money.... but even in the suburbs u see the drugs. Its different though...pills and weed is what they are into. Pill addiction is big and these kids have the money to spend. That is why lisa gets mixed up with TW because they have that in common and the only thing that separates them in the neighborhoods they grew up in. I believe lisa was on this path prior to ever meeting JC so u can't blame him for her addiction...my opinion only.

I totally agree with you except, I don't think Toledo is a big Lima. I think Toledo is a smaller Detroit. JMO. Other than that, you are dead on. Lisa was headed down the wrong one way street before she met Johnny.

From what I have heard from my kids and other kids around here Lisa was a wild child.

Just my opinion~I think 3-5 people came over to the house but not sure if they all came in all together
maybe the ones they knew came in first i think it happened right away i think there was a watch out
person i think she might of been raped more than once after it was all over thats when they called
someone to call 911 the first time the police came i think they were gone
i also think that J(SR.) knew the person that picked him up
I think there was drugs ~ scale didn't LS need someone to one bring over? i guess they did
THIS IS JUST MY OPINION NOT FACTS

wanttoknow and kitty, thanks for clearing that up. I guess I kind of just lumped him with the rest of the group. I still think it's possible that Lisa knew Johnny's friends before she met Johnny.

(02-25-2011, 11:26 AM)My3littlepiggies Wrote: Just a little something. I don't know if it sheds any light on the crime. About ten years ago a group of friends that had just graduated a couple of years before from Bowsher High School (same high school as a lot of these characters) murdered their friend for drugs. Shot him in the back of the head while they were riding in his car and broke all his bones and shoved him in a drain pipe. It took about a year for LE to get the whole case together but they did get a conviction. This was a robbery for drug money. Although, the method of murder is not the same it was still very brutal. I don't remember all the reports but I believe they also poured gasoline or acid on him. However, contrary to what several people want to harp on. Toledo is not a shithole filled in drug dealing criminals. We have problems like any other big city. (we are not a tiny honkey tonk town) But Toledo is not a shithole.

I guess that would depend on your definition of "shithole." If there is a nice part of toledo, I'd love to find it.
Ummm, quite a few. Crossgates area, Heatherdowns area, Beverly area, Harvard Area.

Don't be knockin' my city. I am not a thug but I am a 3rd generation south ender and I take pride in where I am from. Not gang pride but we can't all be suburban snobs. Thats what they call "white flight". People get scared and leave and don't put anything back in.

Toledo is great, and don't let them fool ya. Toledo is bigger than any burb in the area. Perrysburg is a burb that's know to be a nice area but if you go the the heights, it's like your right back on the 300 BLOCC of Western

Yes and like I said spingfield is no better just go to The Oakwood apartments better know as cokewood. or Royal Village the trailor park. No shortage on drugs here.
