Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered
Personally I think the angel with a rosary was left by someone as a tribute. I don't really see punks purchasing a lovely statue and rosary. Maybe if they aren't afraid of his mother they will clear it up. The grave marker being stolen could be a separate issue.

I just had a wierd and strange thought when I saw this pic. How many of you think that if this girl and her hefty boyfriend met the same fate as J and L would we be discussing it as much?? Just a curious thought.

Good point, Kitty - sad, but true. Another thought that occurred to me earlier is that we don't know what most other mockers look like; for all we know, this girl could be one of us.

I would be, why wouldn't anyone still be interested, because she's obese and that makes her less human, somehow! It was the manner of death that drew me to this case. There was a term some LE use to use when prostitutes or druggies were found dead or murdered they would included this anagram in their reports NIH... I saw a case a long time ago it was a mother whose daughter and boyfriend were found murdered in California and the mother was from the east coast, and the mother traveled all the way to California to find out what was being done on the case, because time was going by and nothing, well she got all of LE's reports and kept seeing this NIH over and over again pertaining to her daughter, and couldn't' figure out what the hell it was, it turned out to mean, Non Human Involved, imagine that!

I've had the same thoughts as Kitty & 1 4 the road. Mostley because I continue to see people comment on how beautiful & handsome they were & I've thought.... what if they weren't beautiful & handsome? What if the were born homely, what if they were obese, or had some type of physical or mental disability? Would people care AS much? I think some people would still like to discuss it but I do think their beauty captured peoples attention as well.

See my post directly above yours. Maytee purchased & placed the statue at the gravesight. She states she does not know who left the beads. If it were just the bead incident, I may think someone may have left them there innocently, not thinking how the act may look bad. However, the stolen marker along with the beads makes it look not so innocent to me. To me, it does sound like someone wanted a trophy or someone wanted to mess with the family. IMO

i would also like to think the rosary beads were meant in a loving way. i hope so.

and i agree that the physical beauty of the deceased young couple, as well as the bizarre manner of death, factors into the overwhelming interest in this case. it has all the elements of a compelling and tragic Romeo and Juliet story.

i need to be gone a few hours, see you later! i hope for news. Smiley_emoticons_wink

TOLEDO, OH -- It's been more than a month since two young people were found dead in a home on Longacre Lane in Springfield Twp.

Today, Lucas Co. sheriff James Telb released an update to the investigation.

Officers believe the couple was targeted and that the killings were not random acts of violence. Neither do they believe this was a "professional hit."

Evidence is being examined, as are polygraph results. Anyone with any information should call 419-213-4917 or Crime Stopper at 419-255-1111.

A reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

LOL, Well I sent about 10 emails under different alias'!! And I was hoping that others did the same from the email/form link that I posted on here! That is exactly what I questioned, it being "professional", the information being buried in the Sheriff's monthly report and re-victimizing Johnny and Lisa by laying the murders at their own feet!

Maytee mentioned the marker being stolen as some kind of *trophy* to whomever took it. That's disgusting, but sadly enough could have some truth to it. As for the angel statue, Maytee states in the video she put the statue there herself, minus the beads/rope around it's neck. I would love to think it was a rosary placed out of love, and wrapped around a couple times so it wouldn't fall off, BUT she said ROPE with beads...and that made think of a popular bracelet kids wear. Either way, the grave marker is gone and that's just plain disrespectful!!

It is very sad these two beatuiful kids had to go through this but I think it sad everyone keeps blaming Tw.It took a real crazy sick person to do what they did to them. I dont think Tw or anyone around her could even pull that off . What about LS ex boyfriend??I herd he was crazy....

In reading this post, with all the "paybacks" in gangs and the treats that Maytee has been making against people...does this women not fear for her own safety accusing innocent people? 85I have given her the benefit of the doubt, because yes she lost her son, and yes she was there when they were found. BUT at the same time, we do not hear from Johnny's father....complaining and accusing people. Nor do we hear from the Straub's. So giving her the benefit of the doubt has complete gone out the window. There is such thing as dealing with grief as a mature adult, and not looking for attention for yourself.

My initial reaction to the grave marker/beads/angel situation is that someone is overreacting. I mean how do they know for sure that the grave marker was stolen? We've had bad weather, maybe it was "blown away". Maybe the cemetery removed it for some reason (granted if that were the case they should have notified the family) I just don't get why it's immediately being said it was stolen. Also, the beads?? I do not see this as doing any harm at all! Someone was paying their respects. Maytee needs to get a grip. A serious grip. You can't take every single thing and turn it into an action against you!! What if someone placed a certain color flowers on the grave?? IS she going to turn that into some huge ordeal??? It's just not making sense to me.

Raisingaprince, I posted a link to the video both here & on the JC & LS facts thread. In the video they show a similiar marker. It wouldn not be possible for this marker to blow away. It looked like a thin slab of rock similiar to a permanent headstone. The GM of the cemetary was also interviewed. They did not remove the marker & no other markers were stolen or messed with.

good point! Would love to know if the bags were from the home, hmmm

Same here, never thought that it was "professional" or that they went there with the intention to murder, just to rob drugs, money and to look for the parents money whether it was in a safe or elsewhere, same with the drugs, they could have been hidden in the vents... Will be interesting when they poly Tiffany in July, I wonder how the minor did?? Wonder what he has said?

If you watched the video you would have seen that the marker is marble, so I'm pretty sure the wind didn't blow it away. And also, in the video is the cemeteries manager speaking about the situation...I would assume he would have mentioned if the marker had been removed by staff.

thanks! I was curious what it really was. I'd read $28,000 shortly after the TGIF reward fundraiser. Wow, for some reason I think it's odd, the reward is so low.Signs_173

Me too, I swear I read somewhere...$28k!

1. If the beads could have been a rosary.
2. If beads on a rope around an angel have any significance in Maytee's
religious practices?

I have to agree here what kind of beads? Rosary? If not Rosary beads were they gang colors? Could mean a lot of things....hmmm

Well obviously I didn't watch the videos. Ok so it wasn't blown away, some POS probably did remove it. Still seems like an overreaction to me. It's not like the gravesight was trashed, like a lot have been here in Toledo recently. Since when is leaving a "gift" a crime? I can only assume there are MANY visitors to his grave site, someone left a gift. Yes, investigate the grave marker but taking the beads in for fingerprinting? Come on.

I agree with you & posted something similiar. I also agree with your last post about the rope with beads. If it were just a rosary, why not describe it as a rosary? Why say "rope with beads" My mothers side of the family is Catholic & no one refers to their rosaries as "rope with beads" lol I'm thinking it may have been something similiar to Mardi Gras beads or those hemp rope bracelets with beads. I think that may have been what you were describing also

I think LE is thinking that whomever stole the gravemarker also placed the rope of beads around the neck of the statue. I don't blame them nor do I feel like it's an over reaction. Her son was murdered & someone stole his grave marker & left a gift in replacement (rope of beads) possibly the same person.
