I just wanted to pop in before work and share something.

I was watching an episode of Dateline. On the second half of the show was the story titled "Complicated." I can go back and watch again if anyone is interested in the details (it is, unfortunately, not available to watch online), just let me know. But what made me think of all of you was the detective involved in the case.

In short, it was the story of a young woman who was involved with several young men and had a baby. She was in the midst of establishing paternity when she and her young son were found strangled. The young woman's mother had had a troubled past with alcohol and also admitted that her daughter had made some poor choices. In describing their relationship, the mother stated "She may not have been perfect, but she was perfect for me."

The investigation was long and deliberate and very quiet. What I had hoped while I watched it was that those here who are frustrated with the lack of information from LE could have been watching it, too. The lead detective was professional and dignified and soft-spoken. He was completely focused on the victims and finding justice for these two lives. And while he felt a great deal of empathy for those affected by their deaths, he wasn't going to let anything jeopardize the investigation. The mother thought that her daughter's death was of little importance to LE and did a number of things to bring attention to the case, not knowing how focused LE was and how painstakingly they were investigating.

You would have liked the detective. I believe LE is working just as hard and carefully to solve this case. I believe they will solve this case.

I wish the Mockers could have seen him, too. He was everything you would want in a detective.

Keeping the faith here, too.

As to the crime scene...I am sure those who responded will live with what they saw forever. I can't believe they don't care about solving this case.

Take care.

Damn! I'm sorry! I meant at her showing she was in jeans and a shirt. She was, of course, in a coffin and I'm so used to people then getting buried in the coffin. I don't know many people who have been cremated. Yes, she was cremated. Sorry for the confusion. Smiley_emoticons_slash

Yeah you are talking about JB, correct? His new FB page is pretty weird with the gun and then 2 40oz's DUCT taped to his hands! He was also in the original pixs of the "southside boys" partying with LS and her friends in those Summer pictures. He is also in many of the pictures from VD's girlfriends pictures.

1. She has changed her version as to what exactly happened and was said on the phone between her and JC (like adding that JC said he would call her back) and what she said she heard the man saying changed every so slightly also then she changed the story about the car she used, the "friends mother's car", waking the mother up or waiting for the mother to come home to use the car, very different versions of the story.

2. Tiffany NEVER called JC's mom, after about 2hrs she called a friend who called JC's mother, so you have that wrong.

3. Tiffany is a proven liar, and she has the criminal record to prove it.

So, I am not sure as to who is talking BS and what you are considering bullshit? As, these are facts, that we have proven here on Mock, through criminal records, transcripts and Tiffany's own Mock interview.

4. Now, Maytee, well being a mother of 2 adult children in this insane world, I would have been just as worried as Maytee! I have a son who answers the phone no matter what, even if it is only to tell me he is busy and will call back, but if I received a phone call from a friend who received a phone call from somebody else who said my son was suppose to pick them up and they hadn't been able but were repeatedly trying to reach him for over 2 hrs and nothing, you can bet your ass I would be definitely worried, and my son is a straight A student in Grad School, and still I would be on high alert that something was wrong! So, there is nothing cryptic about Maytee's reaction at all! Johnny was barely 22yrs old, to a mother that's a baby out in the world, when you know all the horrible things that could go wrong! Whether she knew about the drugs or not is irrelevant, she may have and so what, or she may have just thought it was a robbery of sorts, or a home invasion and we are not even considering a mother's intuition here!

I think I'm caught up Big surprise?

FACT......WHY WOULD TIFFANY CALL A FRIEND WHEN HER COMPANION HAD MAYTEE NUMBER IN HIS CELL PHONE? THIS WILL COME OUT
WOW, VERY interesting...so TW could have turned to her car companion and said call JC's momma? WTF...now that's more crazy sh-t that goes against all logical thinking. It's another piece of the puzzle in TW's story that doesn't jive or make any sense AT ALL IMO, TW has dug herself in so deep the sh-t just keeps getting deeper! I'm sure LE will be all over that one...lets hope so anywaySmiley_emoticons_smile Thanks for that ineteresting tid bit Concerned, I never heard this info before.-LVSHORTY

I had a long, detailed reply, but somehow I lost it. I hate to sound like a broken record but your posts are hard to read. Your entire post is one long run on sentence. You need a few spaces or capital letters to begin your sentences. No offense but I have skipped a few of your posts because they give me a headache. Maybe I'm just irritable, cuz no one else has complained.

What facts do you think that we don't have straight??? Everything that is stated as fact is substantiated as such. LC and Duchess insist on this. We speculate, give our opinion and share rumors, but we identify them as such.

Some of the statements that you have made are not accurate. You may want to take a look at the other thread which includes facts and links about the case.

1. Tiffany and Maytee claim that Tiffany DID NOT call Maytee, but had a friend do it. Maytee has confirmed this.

2. Tiffany and Maytee claim that Tiffany picked up John Sr. just before the first 911 call which was at 1:24 am. The 2nd 911 call places Tiffany, Maytee, Maytee's cousin and John Sr. at the Straubs just after 2am. (not hours later as you stated or as I think you stated. It is hard to decipher what you're saying). Tiffany states that the minor Z was also with her.

3. According to Tiffany, she was not present at the home when the bodies were discovered.

4. According to those present at the home, John Sr. kicked in the door at about 3:50am. Are you asking what they were doing at the home from 2am until 3:50?

I agree.

Quote:i guess depends if your child lives a dangerouse life and who their friends are

I disagree. IMHO, if we are concerned about being unable to get hold of our adult children on the phone, that does NOT necessarily imply that our children "live a dangerous life" or that they have undesirable friends.

Many of us simply are accustomed to speaking to our adult children very frequently, and have children who are diligent in returning our calls because they don't want us to worry about them.

That is the way Maytee describes her relationship with her son Johnny.

TOLEDO, OH -- Lucas County Sheriff James A. Telb says his department continues to pursue leads in the double homicide of Johnny S. Clarke and Lisa Straub that occurred in Springfield Twp. on January 31, 2011.

Deputies are confident that the murder was not a random act of violence and that the Clarke and Straub were targeted by their assailants. They do not believe the killers were "professionals" but have no motive for the crime as of now.

Deputies have conducted numerous interviews and polygraph examinations, according to the sheriff. The evidence collected at the scene continues to be processed by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification and investigators are awaiting results of those tests. The F.B.I. have also dedicated resources to the investigation.

I agree 100%. I would panic too if I couldnt get a hold of my son, as my son is a mommas boy as well. I cant go anywhere without him. He blows up my cell phone 10 mins. after I leave the house!

I'm glad you posted this for two reason. For one, there hasn't been much said lately in the media/press. And two, I never would have found that article!(and I'm local) So good to know they still have leads they are pursuing, and we're not just waiting around for Tiffany to deliver her baby.lol

I agree, this is VERY interesting, and underscores my belief that TW knew Johnny & Lisa were dead when that phone call was made. I think that first call gave her a chance to try out her story with a non-related 3rd party so she could plug any holes; there was a bigger risk of Maytee catching her in a lie if she called her directly. By the time of the call she’d had at least 2 hours to concoct her story about Johnny’s plan to pick her up and the alleged conversation, possibly closer to 3 hours as we haven’t confirmed what time Lisa & Johnny got home; we know they were killed soon after because Lisa hadn’t changed out of her work clothes. By calling the friend TW had a chance to rehearse what she’d say when she eventually spoke to Maytee and to LE. We’ve already caught some slip ups she made, such as Johnny dropping the phone vs Johnny saying he’d call her back, and the different versions of how she got the car. The more people involved in a telephone chain the harder it becomes to prove who said what, and I think that might explain why TW wanted Maytee to hear about Johnny from someone else.

well, what else are the police going to say?
not that i'm criticizing them, i'm not, but they still need to do a presser on the state of the investigation. or has this story simply dropped off the radar in the area?
