I'm in another nearly 1000 page thread - http://lunaticoutpost.com/Topic-Nuclear-...lfunctions

Believe me when I say that this is a distraction from that. This crime never gets solved, life goes on. That situation isn't solved, fucking DOOM. This thread has become, for me, like reading the National Enquirer while a meteor is headed straight for us.

I need to get my priorities straight but this has a certain addictive quality!

Thank you, Freshbait and NightOwl.

FBait, I, too, have to lie down in a dark room sometimes for several hours to overcome those optic migraines. (Genetic - all of my aunts & mother had them too)

NightOwl, I don't know if I said anything very beneficial or worthwhile in any way, but thanks for that thought. We just need to be open-minded about this entire situation.

Kitty, I agree with what you said.

DNA and fingerprints and all that scientific stuff is back on those cases. so it doesn't make sense that "it's not back on this case." we've heard NOTHING.... other than the "rumor" that the DNA is back and there were no hits. knowing what I know about other things...that makes complete sense. I actually completely believe that.

I think this case is "bigger" -for lack of better words- than these south end thugs are able to pull off. I think it's pretty clear that they'd beat, rob or kill ya- but probably do it with a gun.

It is not a "rumor" that some of the DNA is back. That info came straight from the family. They were still working on attempting to obtain DNA and fingerprints from the tape a few weeks ago. I do not know if they have completed that task yet.[/color]

Anyone else been wondering like me? I Pray for Maytee, LE will get the beast/s.

I don't believe that Lisa's uncle is a liar. I believe the letter was written after Maytee tried to place the blame at Lisa's feet. She tried to take Johnny and his friends and/or associates out of the equation. She claims the uncle was void of any emotion at the police station. Maytee has her way of grieving and he is entitled to his own way as well. Maytee claims that there was a safe because she states that Lisa's ex (BD) broke into the safe and stole money. They may have had a safe but that doesn't mean they had one at the time of the murders. She implied that she was the one that informed the uncle of his niece's death. The uncle found out when watching the early edition of the local news. The uncle is the Fire Chief and well respected in his community. It is uncharacteristic for him to have acted inappropiately at the police station. I think Maytee is in denial (understandably) that her son's past history or any of his friends/associates could have been a facter on that dreadful night. I believe she is in denial, she is angry and she is in pain and experiencing guilt. These are three of the 5 steps of the grieving process. Grieving tends to be unpredictable like a roller coaster ride. She is a victim and she is defensive. She wants to protect her son's name. I think that lashing out, venting on Facebook and casting a negative light on others makes her feel better in some way. I believe her behavior is a manifestation of her guilt, pain and anger.

Kitty1, I have no idea why the letter was sent - I don't recall Maytee laying the blame at Lisa's feet - she brought up the deranged ex-boyfriend but, I sure wouldn't call that laying the blame at Lisa's feet.

I didn't mean that she just recently said that about Lisa. Do you not recall that on JVM she stated that the murders had nothing to do with Johnny. That it was Lisa's neighborhood and that the murders were about Lisa and not Johnny. She claimed that it possibly was Lisa's ex. I'm really surprised that you do not recall that. And as far as casting a negative light she said that Lisa didn't get enough love at home so that is why she often stayed at Johnny's house. She stated that the Straubs should never had Johnny and Lisa house sit. They should have hired someone. She said they took Gotti.. "it isn't fair". The dog belonged to Lisa.

Since it's quiet right now & I'm not in any danger of embarrassing anyone I'm going to take a moment to tell you people to TRIM YOUR QUOTES! You do not need an entire quote or sometimes even two, to post a smiley or to say thank you. Be mindful of that, I know you've been told this exact same thing by LC & myself before now. Next time, I will single you out & I firmly believe after a verbal beat down in front of everyone you will not be lax again. If you have a problem with it, come & find me and it will be my pleasure to help you. I don't like being a bitch to any of you that stick strictly to the crime forum but if I continue to see it, I will rip you a new one in a New York minute. Thanks!

Have a beautiful day, sweeties. 27

SS, I believe AG is talking about Maytee's niece, AG said she was screwing around with Mr. Z - he probably said that to tick Maytee off and anything is possible.

Just a side note: why didn't they call the niece that night then?
