Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered
(04-14-2011, 10:23 PM)pplrcrazy Wrote: So Im listening to toledos police radio and they just had a possible B&E and the homeowners are out of town and a neighbor saw 2 men and " they drove really fast out of the drive way" and they are now sending officers out there.. Hmm interesting... this was reported about 3 minutes ago..

This is very common to hear this on the scanner throughout the Toeldo area...as well as shots being fired. There was breaking news at 11 of a teen who had just been shot in his side. This is coming off of the elderly man who was killed last night and the 4 year old and his grandma who died in the house fire. The most important info to listen to on Toledo's scanner traffic is a dispatch call for a SGT. or DET. or a COMMAND officer being sent to a location.

If you or anyone you know has ever been set up harrassed or robbed by TW please contact crimestoppers asap 4192551111. they have already been involved in three robberies leading to murder and dozens of home invasions

I find this very interesting that Maytee has the balls to post such incriminating accusations when she herself has been been invoved in the "exact" same things as she is posting. People who live in glass houses whouldn't be throwing stones.

word in toledo is that lisa's mom owed thousands of dollars to a drug dealer and it was an out of town hit. again, just a rumor. don't shoot the messenger.

I think ppl are getting bored now and coming up with anything they can at this point, but I hope these RUMORS don't cause the police to miss anything or lead them the wrong way....

No..Actually the police do a good job at that without any outside help. (joke)
But all kidding aside, I think the Straub house was cleaned too soon for my liking and if a question or something arose a few days later that police had to check out the house was no longer available for them...IMO rumours are not as much of a problem as is squeezing police into an unrealistic position to successfully solve a complex crime like this with competing priorities challenging their ability to do a great job.

ZEROSPHERES, I agree! I wondered back then why the rush to clean the Straub house - why the big race?

Perhaps

Perhaps. I'm of the impression that LE has access to the cell phones used that night. To make sure everything added up, and to interview those that had contact with TW/AG in the days prior. And no smoking gun resulted.

I thought about this too, but no one has confirmed if the calls, back up TW's statement or not- and cell phone calls would not be enough evidence alone, to make an arrest and get a conviction.
If the cell phone records do not verify her statement, all that proves is she is lying, but its not enough to tie her or anyone else to the murder.
And of course its just a thought... there are so many possibilities with this crime, you can make yourself crazy trying think of them all :O

I LOVE God, but his fan club scares the shit out of me!!!

Zero says "Sorry 'pspence' but what I am reading here is just NUTS...if you quoted AG and think that his statement has helped me, it has. I see someone who can justify anything he does in some poorly constructed reasoning and WTF is he doing in possession of a GUN? His moral highground is "I don't rob females at gunpoint'...Geeez

Zero, I believe I mentioned that I don't condone his behavior and that I could be wrong...I just have a gut feeling that he had nothing to do with it. I'm not nominating him for "Citizen of the Year"...just in reference to this case. Again just "a gut feeling".

my feeling is that the police got all they needed from the crime scene and whoever arranged the house to be cleaned did it because the Straubs were rushing home. the scene WAS released by the police.

The elements that must be proved in a successful libel claim are:
- a publication to one other than the person defamed;
- a false statement of fact;
- that is understood as
a. being of and concerning the plaintiff; and
b. tending to harm the reputation of plaintiff.

Also, courts look at whether a reasonable reader could understand the statement as asserting a statement of verifiable fact. (A verifiable fact is one capable of being proven true or false.) This is determined in light of the context of the statement. A few courts have said that statements made in the context of an Internet bulletin board or chat room are highly likely to be opinions or hyperbole, but they do look at the remark in context to see if it's likely to be seen as a true, even if controversial, opinion ("I really hate JsMom's attention seeking rhetoric") rather than an assertion of fact dressed up as an opinion ("It's my opinion that Charlie Sheen likes hookers & blow").

Gang sweep nets 55 in toledo

A gang sweep netted 55 arrests in the city Thursday, said Toledo police Lt. Brad Weis.

The multi-agency sweep — including representatives of the FBI; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms; the Border Patrol; the Immigration and Customs Enforcement division; the Parole Authority; and Toledo Police — took more than 8 hours.

Police recovered two handguns, one shot gun, and approximately $20,000 in drugs, Lieutenant Weis said.

Several of the people arrested were picked up on federal gun charges and others were released at the scene.

“We try to do several of these a year when there’s an increase in gang violence,” Lieutenant Weis said.

how do we know exactly when the Straub house was cleaned? I think it's fairly common for a crime scene to be cleaned up within a few days....

Nice joker.

Totally agree with this. Her laughing about this tells us what? That she is a SADIST. What was one of the characteristics we all said would be required to kill two people by suffocation?

'Nuff said.
