Good luck, Toledo...you need it.

I will be the first to say Toledo is a shit hole. And so are the surrounding areas. Its hard to get locked up around here. If the housing market wasnt shit right now. I would sell and get the hell out of here, but beings it is I guess Im going to settle for a gun. Any fucking hood rat or thugs come in my house they will get their fucking head blown off. Then I will be locked up of course, because thats how Toledo works.

I agree with concerned. I have seen many cases of females being robbed/rapped/murdered and the females were not as attractive. Same goes for handicapped women. They tend to prey/target the weak.

Mock isn't quiet, this thread is quiet. Big difference.

I can't believe with all of those arrests over the last couple of months that someone hasn't squealed to get out of some charges...doesn't anyone out there have any inside scoop of where LE is in this?
Spay and neuter your dogs and cats. Ban gas chambers in your local shelters. User made the call. User made a difference! Love3

I don't think that any of the perps who were arrested for other crimes in the past few months are involved in the murders...but hopefully they have some inside info that will lead to the arrest. I can bet that Maytee is sweating bullets each time one of these shit bags is caught...because you have to remember that most of these low lives used to hang out with ol' mommy dearest and party and do drugs out in the open. What a role model!!

IMO

Truth be told - do you think it is someone that has committed a crime before, someone from the Southside maybe or do you think it's a loner who has never committed a crime? You are not fond of Maytee!

Your correct that I am not found of her which is because actions from her past. I think yes, it is someone from the south end, and someone who is connected to Johnny. IMO-this double murder has more to do with Johnny's mother and father than Johnny and Lisa. The mother knows more and needs to come clean!

I am finding it odder and odder that the Straub family has not reached
out to the media to help solve this case.

I'm thinking that LE has spoken to the Straub's a little more than they have the Clarke's, considering the Straub's aren't out blabbing on FB every other minute. I'm not saying they are telling the Straub's anything huge, but I get the feeling the Straub's may get a little more respect from LE than Maytee.

I agree with you on the assessment of the Straubs but every other
case it seems as if parents want to keep it in the limelight on some
level. I do not understand why their family spokesperson or someone
is not screaming "Find the killer."

Or are you suggesting LE knows the killer and therefore have
asked the Straubs not to make any public appeals?

i think it simply comes down to "style". i am sure both the families are in touch with LE, but the Straubs are low-key, private with their emotions, and don't want to publicize their anguish. they don't need to proclaim that they want the killers arrested and brought to justice. it goes without saying. their silence is a virtue. WolfHouse, I think it is a bit strange also, I thought for sure after 3 months the Straub Family may have a Plea of their own in the Toledo Blade as you said anything something to keep the story in the limelight, where are the Killer/s someone a neighbour anyone out there has to know something.

I have never believed that public appeals made by loved ones of murder victims help solve cases. Perhaps in a missing persons case but a plea to "find the killer" is of no use in my opinion. I just don't believe that interviewing Lisa's grieving family would prompt anyone with information to come forward.

The Straubs are very private people. They dont want to be in the limelight and have also turned down interviews with CNN, Nancy Grace etc... People grieve in their own way. Maybe they have faith that LE is going to solve it.

Here's an example: Weeping girl tips police

This was an unsolved murder last December in England. One of several pleas from the victim's parents prompted someone to call who sent the investigation in a whole new direction (and led to an arrest - perp's trial is Oct 4).

I've seen appeals work other times as well. If anyone besides the perp(s) no what happened, appeals from family members might push them into calling LE. It's a long shot, but worth a try, IMO.

Nightowl, I dont agree with the Straubs reaching out to the media. I have that since we had been hit with bad weather before that and alot of people were still crazy that since we had a brief break in the weather that someone in that neighborhood could have been walking their dog or shoveling that evening. I know if I was a neighbor I would be racking my brains out

Kip, Thank-you! so much for your answer here on Mock and what a sad story this is over in England awful awful! how ever the girls parents did the right thing IMO their plea hit home with someone out there - it is possible that Dutch bastard would have gotten away with the crime if the girl didn't call in - I say never give up! and you don't need to go on Nancy Grace or CNN either all it takes is a statement for e.g. in the Springfield News or Holland News and of course the big one The Toledo Blade their faces and photographs are not even required IMO but, as you said Kip its worth a try. Thanks!

America's Most Wanted needs to run this story to give it national attention. John Walsh would help solve this case by just talking about it on a national platform. This case needs more and new attention.
