Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered
LC, seeing that picture just reminds me of why I was intrigued by this case to begin with- two young beautiful people w/their lives taken too soon. I pray for justice.
It's the hint of arsenic that gives it that extra kick.

I wonder if Maytee is still wishing a horrid death for TW or her newborn?

Also wondering if posted threats and curses are the only productive PR they utilize to bring the guilty to justice?

How 'bout it, Toledo. Any vigils, media appearances or dedicated reporters reviving this tragedy?

If not the families . . . the community?

the reward is not 50K as stated in her site, it's 30K. unless she is adding her personal funds of 20K to that.

Lady Cop I was wondering about this new reward if it was a typing error - if it urges anyone to talk that would be something!! My gosh Maytee has 3 sites going on Facebook now! That has to be a first.

Thanks!

Or does the 'upped' reward mean they still have nothing solid . . . just speculation and unsubstantiated allegations fueled by anger, loss and ignorance?

I think the change in the reward may be in response to TW's successful polygraph. It's possible everyone was hanging their hopes on a failure.

Blue Tiki You have fired off some very good questions to-day indeed just letting you know that. I think it's doubtful if these local kids know anything. If someone out there does know something, they could have been threatened! There were a lot of shootings in Toledo lately and if I recall correctly one of the Detectives said our biggest problem is people could help but, are scared to talk. I wonder about Johnny and his prison days if it is anything to do with incidents that took place in prison? Just my opinion, lots of questions!

i think the exaggerated amount is on the same level as "we have a snitch". designed to shake some trees. 2 things hoodrats may respond to.

are you Ohio people all nuts?? hah

Roy Miracle was a devoted Ohio Buckeyes fan his whole life - and his daughter was determined that even death wouldn't stop his devotion.

So just before his funeral, she arranged for him to take part in one final cheer - from his open casket.

Juli Miracle and two other family members posed alongside their 80-year-old father's body to form an O-H-I-O formation for the very last time, with Mr Miracle taking his usual 'I' spot.

in reference to the picture above, i would just like to say that all of us ohioans are not "die"-hard buckeye fans! however this picture doesn't surprise me in the slightest. you gotta give em some credit for originality!

Why weren't they wearing Ohio State's colors?

Or violating NCAA rules?

There was a small article about them today in the Blade.

What are we all to think now after all of our speculation of every possible scenario? Wouldn't we have to think that it was a professional "hit"? What other possible conclusion could we have all this time? Surely, if it were gangsta kids, they would have left evidence? Am I off base here thinking these sicko's knew what they were doing?
Spay and neuter your dogs and cats. Ban gas chambers in your local shelters. User made the call. User made a difference! Love3

pspence, I thought for sure an arrest/s would have happened by now. Yes we covered every possible scenario as stated above. Something is terribly wrong here and maybe it was a professional "hit" if so they may not even be in Toledo but, who did Johnny and Lisa meet to have done this? Why? I don't think you're off base.

i said it at the beginning and i'll say it again in this new thread. i don't believe for one minute this was "professional".

those 2 kids wouldn't have attracted professionals.

it's someone in the hoodrat circle.

and professionals don't kill in such a messy sloppy manner.

how have they managed to get away with it this long?

A little bit of luck, bad choices in cleaning the scene so quickly, weather. I also believe that some of the scene is a smokescreen, like how it might have been made to look drug related, IMO. Also, IMO, I believe a piss poor job in investigating/ police work . Changing of the guard in the middle of a double homicide also makes me wonder...IMO, polygraphing people who know and will outsmart/prepare for questions under the influence of drugs. All IMO though, these are my thoughts.

Because the type of people involved hate cops and will not talk to them even with a reward offered, it is sad, I really wish they would come forward with what they know because it makes me sick to my damn stomach that they know and refuse to talk.
