Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered
I don't really know, just that part of the states discovery stated his name along with a letter the state had received from him. That was month ago. Now the state is filing Jones' plea agreement (on an unrelated case) as part of discovery for Williams and Pettaway. An 8 page plea agreement seems kind of lengthy.

Is he possibly this Travis Jones that robbed a BP Gas station last Oct 4th?
I think maybe he got information from Williams & Pettaway in Jail IMO
His middle initial is E. Thanks Adub! for mentioning court!

Good question not sure! his name rang a bell he was on the news early last year he was wrongfully accused of murder - (Google in the following Travis Jones Toledo Ohio) it should come up. I am thinking this same exact fellow Robbed BP gas station later on last year. Mugshotsonline have him he has a neck brace on. Maybe this is the Jones in Court Discovery IMO.

Not too long ago I saw your comment in Toledo Blade I agreed!!

No Mike is not the BF of Lisa's sister but a very good friend of hers. Michael did a great job last nite both in organizing the event and being spokesperson at the event. I was very proud of him---we have known him since he was a little boy and he has grown into a fine young man.

I too was at the tribute for Lisa. It was a nice gathering of people there to give support to the Straub's and to remember Lisa.

So it is kind of disturbing to me that Lisa will always be linked to Clarke. When in reality, Lisa had a lot of real life before she even met Johnny.

He was not that big a part of her life.

Just her death.

Mustang, Firstly welcome to Mock! Secondly I like the Mustang avatar better than the flying penquin hah I really really like the 1966 version of Mustang darling motor car.

What a post #19572 was!

Kitty1 answered all that once "What is a Memorial?" she did a good job with that answer, according to Kitty1 she is family do you know Kitty1? Nowadays what is proper etiquette? I never dreamed a Bar, Restaurant, NightClub would be the place for a Memorial but, apparently it can be and was - so some people prefer Prayer and candles and others prefer toasting and drinking.

Glad you got to visit the gathering for Lisa, and sorry you are offended that the Media showed up - I'm glad they did show up and I'm not trying to be argumentative or rude to you - I try to stay neutral and be fair - I would never want the Media around either and look what Mr. & Mrs. Badger went through with media it was a hellish heartbreaking event! The situation here in Ohio is a terrible terrible murder of two young souls and I think that is the main reason they showed up at Quimby's and Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Sincerely,

NightOwl

Thank you Night Owl.

I don't know who "Kitty1" is but if she is family I likely know her. And I understand the media showing up, and they were very respectful, etc. It's just that, for Jeff and Mary Beth's sake, I wish they hadn't because they are private people who aren't comfortable with their personal grief playing out on T.V.

As for the bar/restaurant location...I'm Irish! I'm used to wakes, so it seems natural to me. But don't get me wrong. There was much more to that day for the family than the final get-together with friends and family that night.

I didn't pry, but I'm sure the family visited Lisa'a grave site and said their prayers in private, and I'm also sure they see those as private moments with their daughter, rather than an opportunity to fulfill some strange need to prove how devastated they have been.

And again, there were so many people in attendance, I honestly don't know where they could have come together other than a public place.

Finally, it's my understanding the gathering was arranged by the friends of Lisa and Lindsay, and to the younger generation, gathering in familiar surroundings (as opposed to a memorial mass, for instance) and doing what Lisa likely would have wanted to do were she still with us, is completely normal. I think things got a little confused when they invited all us old folks and it was portrayed that we are all a bunch of drunks for choosing to remember the anniversary in such a way.

We were honored to have been included in the young folks celebration of Lisa's life, and I'm pretty sure the family and friends of any deceased young person would, if invited, attend a similar gathering hosted by their loved one's young friends. It's rather comforting to see how Lisa's friends continue to remember her and want to keep her memory alive.

Great to hear from you Night Owl, and thanks for replying.

Mustang....

Great way no matter what to honor Lisa. her friends, family and probably well wishers were there. I love the way her parents do not go public with their grief. But glad they allowed the media there. Gave us an insight to Lisa and her friends. When my best friend died in a car accident in Toledo in 95, the next year, we all went to his parents and had a bash. Not a drunkfest.

The only person who thought it was a drunkfest was MAytee, and that woman has no self-respect. PERIOD. I know Toledo LE and they do not like her.

God bless Lisa and her family!!!

that's funny hah not surprising tho.

I'm sure she took offense to the fact that her family wasn't welcome and just wanted to make the Straubs look bad. She has what i like to call dramatitis.
