First the bars, now the parks...what's next, the town, the state?

In regards to AC casinos I think there may be a partial ban on smoking.

It's all about the exchange rate of air. If the air is replaced every 12 hr with fresh air the deadly smoke filled rooms would be more healthy than most homes.

Yeah, I think you're possibly right about the air exchange rate..I recall reading something about that awhile back. I dont think that applies to restaurants and bars, however, as at least in Idaho, I believe the laws states that "Smoking shall be prohibited in all public places". At the same time, I'm well aware of one bar/eatery here in Boise which somehow has managed to skirt around the law. For some reason, you can still smoke here

lmfao....I bought a carton of smokes yesterday, just opened them up this morning. Each pack of smokes now has a warning on the cellophane that says "Nothing about this cigarette, packaging, or color should be interpreted to mean safer"

WTF...our tax dollars hard at work here folks. I wonder what the payroll is of the government agency that regulates cigarette packaging, and forces the manufacturers to put the incredibly fucking obvious statements on a pack of smokes?

Thank God big brother is out there protecting us from ourselves, as certainly we'd all die without them.

I think most Casinos are like that. We went to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and there were hundreds of people in there chain smoking and you couldn't smell a bit of it when you walked in.

Are you a smoker, Sally? Shit...in my attempts to quit, even after only a few days of non-smoking, I could smell it quite easily, especially in my truck. But as a full time smoker, I can't really pick it up.

Some people smell like they took a bath in the ashtray while you can't tell other people even smoke. I think it depends on if they smoke inside their homes or leave full ashtrays in their home or car.

It's the butts that stink. That goes for most everything.

I quit last year back in January I have saved well over 3000.00 but I believe smokers have rights. The government will never outlaw smoking it is a cash cow. The more people quit the higher the taxes go.

3K? Damn, either you smoked like a chimney, or you were paying out the ass for a pack/carton. I figure my habit, @ a pack a day costs me approx $1700/year. Granted, that still is a lot of cash.

Kudo's to you though, for kicking an expensive tough habit to quit!

Holy shit!

Last time I bought a pack in GA, it was about $5.

I battle with smoking. I don't smoke unless I get around another person who still smokes. I can't help but bum one. I always buy a pack when I go out with the ladies because I know I will want one with my drink. That leads to a good week of smoking before I remember why I quit.

Giving up Cokes and eating healthier was no big deal. The cigs are a bitch.

I don't have a clue what a pack costs here but a carton is 60.00. I often pick them up for my boss because they are cheaper downstate than up in the northern part where she lives.

Well, I'm a closet smoker. I don't like people seeing me smoke. Disgusting, filthy habit.

Ya'll got some expensive smokes. Carton here is anywhere from $45 to $48 depending on the store. I also get regular $4 off a carton coupons from Marlboro.com. Still, even with that, I figure my habit alone is worth about 1 12 house payments.

Deadliest drug on the planet.

Banning it outdoors though is mental.

My state is very small & our roads are all in almost pristine condition. I thank smokers for them. Awink

I thought $7.20 here in Maine was outrageous! New Hampshire is still about $2 cheaper and damn straight I spend more than the $2 in gas every week to get down to the border for a carton just for the principle!
