Not sure. I've actually not been one that's been obsessed with the B.C. issue, however, it seems really odd to me that with so much controversy over this, that a document would've been produced long ago.
Let's take it a step further. Who's to say that this particular document isn't a forgery? Seriously.
Especially in a state like Hawaii. Back in the 60's or even the 70's. Would be nice to have your son be an American citizen for all kinds of reasons.
So many conflicting stories from relatives in Africa, I think it's a legitimate question. You obviously are not an American citizen and don't get it. You play the race card, blah, blah, blah.

What it really boils down to is this OP, when asked to produce the BC, it should have happened, The President doesn't get to fight the people of this country in court over something as simple as a BC, if he does he becomes untrusted by a certian segment of the citizens, and that trust is what his job is all about.
3 years later and a BC turns up that was filed 4 days ago, does not take away 3 years worth of fighting in court to not release it.
why fight something that was a non issue?
Personally I have not really cared about the birth certificate, what I want to see is his renounced citizenship when his name was Barry Soetero citizen of indonesia.
