Going out today, won't be able to get there by 5, but will drop in around 8, if it's not over by then!

I set some cookies and milk out on the table for Jesus with a note. Told HIM I am out and will be back soon and to make HIMSELF comfortable. I also left a hammer and nails there and added a "P.S." at the bottom which reads. IF you are still here when I get back and want to stay I can put YOU up for the night.

Can someone explain what the Rapture actually is in practical terms.

Lets for a moment pretend we are all rational human beings, do people really think if they are faithful Christians they will literally be sucked up into the sky (cus dats where da heaven is right? gosh darn it) to party with Jebus and gawd and all his seraphim and cherubim?

When in reality if they get sucked up too high they will freeze to death and will eventually be incinerated by the atmospheric barrier.

Do you want the pre trib version or the post trib version?

God would not be bound by your standards of proof, you know like feezing and being incinerated?

Those are natural laws that we as physical beings with flesh and blood live under ,God being spirit would not be confined to the natural laws that physical bodies are confined to. without even getting into the essence of God we have reached the end of your understanding.

OP here is the nutshell version:

The rapture is Christian belief that forms a major part of the current teaching and expectations of fundamentalist and other evangelical denominations. In its most popular current form, the doctrine involves Jesus Christ returning from Heaven towards earth. In violation of the law of gravity, saved individuals -- both dead and alive -- will rise up in the air and join Jesus in the sky.

A very brief description of the rapture is found in the Bible -- 1 Thessalonians 4 -- and is supported in other passages. Unfortunately, the Bible is ambiguous about exactly when the rapture will occur. Most believers in the rapture suggest that it will happen just before the expected seven-year Tribulation -- a time of great suffering, instability, the devastating War of Armageddon, and the largest genocide that the world has ever seen. Some suggest that it will happen just after the Tribulation when Jesus finally returns to Earth.

I have read most of the Left Behind series of books...those left behind are the non believers. Supposedly. I found it an interesting concept..but am not sure that I actually believe it will happen that way.
