It's a bid for attention, you are right on ramseycat.

eye4aneye, thanks for this report. Good grief I am shocked to find out this creep Rooker lives right next door. This is really strange! I wonder if James Sadafi knew this repeat offender lived next door.

Thanks OTD and eye4aneye. Good to see an arrest was made!

Very interested to see how this one turns out. Some pieces missing from the news coverage that make me curious.

There have been 7 stories published about this case in the Toledo Blade, none of the them mentioned 7 hand guns being stolen from the house; just a small amount of cash and later the girlfriend's rings. I see that Toledo Now reported about the guns on 5/21. Pretty big detail to be missing from the Blade's reports. Wonder why.

Still no direct statement in any news reports that I've seen about the girlfriend providing the police with the "3 masked black men in black clothing" description. lt can be assumed, but the source of the description would usually be stated directly. Seems intentionally left out, to me. To protect her? Some other reason?

If Rooker is the guy and there were in fact others involved, hopefully Rooker will give them up soon and some of these gaps can be filled in.

Amazing! ZEROSPHERES. When I first saw Rookers picture it gave me the creeps, that face did look familiar I couldn't place it, yet I don't ever recall the name before on Mock.

It's okay. I'm going to find what you are talking about and post it.

Nice to see you in Mock, OTD!

A second suspect was arrested today for the shooting death of James Safadi.

Charged with aggravated murder is James Y. Allen, 18, of Toledo. He is to be arraigned Wednesday in Maumee Municipal Court.

He is currently being held in the Lucas County jail.

Monday, officials arrested Ronald Rooker, 32, of 8930 S. River Rd., in Waterville Township, and charged him with aggravated murder, also in connection with the May 18 death at Mr. Safadi's home, 8940 S. River Rd.

Police said at least two more suspects could be arrested.

Snipped:

The story provided by investigators, based on witness statements, was that three masked black men dressed entirely in black stormed the residence. At least two suspects carried guns.

“We're still investigating,” said Detective Kozak.

The initial reports have not changed. It was not clear what Rooker’s involvement was.

Detective Kozak would not comment on how Rooker and Mr. Allen know one another.

From the beginning, officials said Mr. Safadi was targeted and that the motive for the shooting was robbery: cash, two diamond rings, and three handguns were taken from Mr. Safadi’s residence at 8940 S. River Rd.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Very good news that police are reeling in these suspects.

Still curious as to the witnesses who gave statements/descriptions.

Also, the Toledo Blade is now reporting the stolen guns; they say three. The Toledo News Now earlier report said seven were stolen.

However many were stolen, hope police find/tie the guns and/or rings with the suspects.
