Who are you talking about Tiki? I really hope your not meaning my God. Jesus Christ was the Messiah not a prophet, and He is not GOP. He is neither. He is above all that.

Thats annoying for me when the Conservatives say God is right wing. It's stupid, and that fellow what's his name...Hannity. ugh.

Sweet and sour Mexican pronunciation of Jesus!

Have you been asleep while others have discussed the 'Son of God'?

Conservatives? Hardly.

BTW - the NOI claims the Messiah is Wallace D. Fard . . . an American.

Colored boy, too.

I hope no one shows up with any of that fucking conspiracy bollocks in this thread.

This is supposed to be a memorial thread, not a bark at the moon conspiracy thread.

"You know Mo, I did not want to hurt your feelings in this regard either. I am also sensitive to the fact that you are a part of this forum and discussion.

Maybe one day we will all be able to live in peace, but there are some in your religion who want world domination and do not care about how they achieve those objectives right? There needs to be a balance between tolerance and respecting the rights of the citizens of a country that they practice in. Some of the families of 911 do not want a mosque built on that particular site as it would be a painful reminder of what occurred down there all those years ago. Does their pain count towards anything?"

Cracker:This is in response to Aussie's just-in-case-you-didn't-know-I'm-a-god-botherer post:

You know that Mo is a Godless German, right? Jelly might have been touched by missionaries. You know how creepy they are when they think noone is watching. She is from somewhere on the African continent (she's probably British, might be high yeller, not sure, too afraid of her to ask), but I don't think she's Muslim, either.

I was at work when the towers were hit. They didn't fall for a long time. It was surreal. Even though they had both been hit, I was shocked as hell when they actually fell. I didn't think our buildings did that.

The most heartbreaking part was watching the people jump. The sound of them hitting stuck with me. Horrible. I don't know what I would have done. I'm scared of heights, but I'm scared of fire, too. I don't like to think about it.

I still have the Army's "Let's Roll" poster that was given to me by a general in Tennessee:

It reminds me how brave some of our people are, military or not.

I was also at work, cleaning a cougars's house who was married to a cardiologist. She came home all freaked out and turned on the TV and I saw the people jumping from the building, which I agree was surreal and definitely the most heartbreaking part.

As far as the conspiracy theory that OP mentioned, I don't believe that the goverment planned it or any crazy shit like that, but I don't think it's unreasonable to believe that these guys got away with their plan right under our nose and Bin Laden was the scapegoat so the goverment didn't look like idiots. They were talking about their plan at the Pink Pony strip club the night before for Christ's sake.

Field of Flags at Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield, Kennesaw, GA - Beatiful tribute to victims of 9/11. I took these with my cell phone so they don't do it justice but it was a beautiful.

Trust the fucking rednecks to go over the top.

Jesus.

It had all been tasteful and touching until the field full of flags.

Right, what sort of new design is this? At least from my side I liked the old one better. Clear, easy, and it didn't take only half the space of that massive screen of mine.

Anyway.

Aussie, me purple pants wearing, Koala hugging, wacko in a nice way Sheila from down under. Since by now it's sort of being among family round here, let me clarify to you what and where I am from really.

Born in 66 in Hungaria. Yes, I am a Palinka swirling, Salami twirling Magyar by birth. When I turned 2 I was captured by a bunch of Germans who tied me up with piano wires, carried me across the borders in the boot of a Volkswagen, and introduced me to their system as they where in dire need of genius that time in the lands of Bratwurst, Sauerkraut and Bitburger Beer.

That's where I grew up. Till I turned 21 when I decided I want to live in the birthplace of Bruce Lee. So I arrived all Nunchak's swiveling in that fabulous place called Hong Kong where I terrorised your non expecting chink for the next 6 years.

After that it was off to Indonesia for 6 years, Bali Hai. Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Kenya, and finally as the final destination, here to Yemen.

I'm a child of Jesus, Buddha and Mohammed. I don't like Moses really. My wife is an especially curious mix of Arab and Malay that was given birth to in South Africa with the family name of Kassim.

Our daughter is a product of Yemen, and with her 3 years carries a South African and German Passport together with a Yemeni birth certificate.

So, now you know.

I hope.

I thought Paul Simon's performance on Sounds of Silence was delivered incredibly. Talented musician.

I love getting into debates of Christianity versus Islam.

Looks like Aussie is the only one in this forum with the balls to say she believes in Jesus as our Savior. The rest of you seem to either be non-believers or believe in something else.

My Lutheran pastor, who's a very eloquent speaker, gave a great sermon yesterday. It made me really stop and think. Jesus always spoke of forgiveness, whether it be your brother or your mortal enemy.

I've never even considered FORGIVING the terrorists (or Muslims in general) for the carnage of 9/11. He just said it's time to stop looking in the rearview mirror, and start looking out the windshield. We won't ever forget, but can't keep ourselves in 'prison' with hate in our hearts.

I'm gonna give it a try. I don't believe we should let our guard down, and our country needs to remain vigilant, but I personally won't be so judgemental every time I see a Muslim person.
